Maroon 5 Faces Backlash For Their Performance

On Thursday, February 29, Maroon 5 was to be playing at a song festival in Chile. This event was referred to as Viña del Mar. They showed up 30 minutes later to their set. This event made many fans upset. One fan reported that Levine "lacked energy to interact with the audience." Levine then posted on Instagram saying "[the] fans deserve an explanation. He then went on saying how his feelings got the best of him. The band's representatives blamed this issue on technical difficulties. "While we can't always make up for our past, we can absolutely try our best to learn from it ... thank you Chile for giving me the opportunity to grow," Levine said.

Questions:

1. If you were at this concert and was waiting for 30 minutes would you have stayed?

Although it was a long time to wait, I think it would have gone by fast. All of the adrenaline in me would make time fly by.

2. If this situation happened to you, would you still be a fan?

Yes. Everybody goes through rough times. The fact that he even showed up shows how much he loves to share his music.

  • Good job overall. Be sure to reply back on three different days.

  • I personally would have stayed because I would have paid money to get into the concert so I wouldn't have walkout because they were 30 minutes late mistakes happen and they are going to keeping happening so I would have been fine. I personally would still stay there fan just because they were late doesn't mean I would have been like there not my favorite anymore.

  • I would have waited for 30 minutes even though they were 30 minutes lates but if I paid for them and waited for a while to see them it would have bee worth the wait. I would still be a fan you can't just stop being a fan because of one mistake.

  • If I was at the consert I would like them a lot so I would stay but I would probaly be mad but once the consert started it would be awsome. Yes because if I was at there consert I would really like them and 30 mintues woulnd make me dis like them.

  • I would stay because there's alot to do while your waiting in line, you could play cards, bring small board games, and even do some small area tailgating.Yes, everybody makes  mistakes and I would still be a fan if it happened to any of my favorite celebrities.

  • It would've been kind of disappointing for the singer to be half and hour late, but I still would've stayed if I really wanted to hear him sing. I don't think that it would've been that bad. I would still be a fan because being half an hour late isn't that bad and doesn't make his music any worse.

  • Yes I would stay because even though it's a long time it's still a concert. It would be stupid to leave because the time could fly and you already spent the money on the ticket so you might as well enjoy the concert. Yes because I also go through tough times and I would have sympathy for them.

  • Yes, it was a long time to wait, but if you paid for the tickets you might as well stay. No, this situation has not happended to me. If this situation had happened to me I feel like I would understand because you never know what peole are going through.

  • I think I would have stayed because I would still be excited to hear them. I think I would be disappointed in them and may not go to the next concert but I probably would keep listening to the songs.

    • I totally agree with you on the staying part, but I don't think I would stop going to their concerts. It's always a fun experience and their music always blows me away. Even though it was only a 30 minute wait I could see why people were upset. You get so anxious.
