"I, like you am a former Marine corporal and I support you 110%," wrote CNN iReport user TMuttDaddy. "It's nobody's business how many guns I own. I also support restoring the gun ownership right for felons. Provided the crime was nonviolent and not repeat offenders."

  • In my mind, this former Marine corporal has a huge point, the constitution clearly states that we have a right to bear arms. What did he do to make it so that he has to register. I think he is just fine and the fact that he even went on CNN clearly protrays his intentions, he has done his part for the government and for this great country of ours. Honestly the government should give up, he is a marine and they never stop fighting.

  • He has the right to own his guns. They're his. He is a former marine corporal so they're obviously in okay hands. I don't think they should have the right to take them away.

  • I definitely understand why he wouldn't want to register his guns because of protecting his family and such. I also believe If he can handle things while in war and hasn't done anything drastic because of mental problems, I believe he is going to be okay. But also I guess someone can have a perfectly good mind and then just snap for no reason..

  • He has the right to own guns. It's in the Constitution. I don't think anyone is going to be able to take that away.

  • I think that he has a right to have his guns without people being on his case. I mean he used to be a Marine corporal he aint gonna hurt nobody.
