Man Survived a Week in his car at the bottom of a ravine

On October 10th family of Ryan Linneman age 37 reported him missing and had not seen him for days police went off looking for him but was actually discovered by a motor biker riding off trail. Ryan was found in his car tipped over sitting on its roof upside down after his car had gone off the road and came to rest at the bottom of a 50 foot ravine. Ryan was taken to the hospital in critical condition with multiple fractures and severe frostbite. Linneman died as a result of injuries due to the accident police are still not sure how his car went off the road

How do you think the police reacted knowing this man spent a week down there in his car?

They most likey wondered how he was able to keep himself alive that long and how nobody saw him and why he didnt try and leave.

What do you think was able to help keep him alive for a week?

He most likey had some type of food down there to help him and maybe a water bottle

  • I think they were probably in a hurry because they know he dosn't have much time left. he pobably had emergency rations of some sort that he kept in a car.

  • That would be an awful way to die. Im hoping he was uncounscious after the crash or at least in shock so he wouldnt feel as much but having multiple fractures while also freezing to death sounds awful. I don't know if he would have wanted warmth more or to just let the cold knumb his wounds. What a sad story.

  • The police most likely would react like, what the heck or they would ask questions mostly. I think he survived down there by eating food and drinking water if he had those materials in the car.

  • In my opinion, police reacted by wondering how he still alive and what caused him to go offroad and why it wasn't found earlier than after a week. I think what could probably keep him alive was maybe supplies he had in his car like food or emergency medic kits that he probably used to survive longer.

  • The police probably reacted by wondering how he made it that long with that many fractures. He most likely couldn't get out because his car was rolled and he couldn't move from the fractures. He may have had snacks on hand with a few bottles of water to keep him alive that long. Not enought blankets or clothers to keep him from getting frostbitten though. I feel he would have lived if he wouldn't have gotten frostbite or any king of injuries.

  • I would think that the police would be very surprised of how they found find him. I wonder why he didn't try can call for help and that someone didn't find him sooner. He must of had some food in his car and enough water that would keep his alive for a week.

    • I agree it I could see why the police wouldn't be checking in ravine and places like that but it makes you think could this mans life have been saved if he was noticed earlier or the police found him sooner and got him medical attention.

  • They were provbably in shock that he survived a full week in his car and suprised he didn't fina a way out. I bet he slept most the time and must've had some sort of food and water in his car because there is no way he would have survived without it.

  • I think that the police were probelly very shocked and amazed knowing this man was alive after being trapped in his car for a week. I believe that he must have had some type of food ro snacks to eat off of for that week with some supply of water.
