On Wednesday, August 28th an unidentified man stole a roller coaster from the Union County Fair, located in Marysville, Ohio, in broad daylight. This 35-year-old ride that is worth approximately 35,000$ was also very special to the community in which it was stolen because it had been around for decades and had a lot of sentimental value. Police have reached out to the public for help finding the 20 foot, alligator themed roller coaster however, police still have been unable to apprehend the thief or obtain the roller coaster. Additionally, law enforcement has not revealed any information on how the thief managed to pull the theft off in broad daylight or what area they believe the thief may have ended up.
1) How do you think the thief was able to steal the roller coaster in broad daylight at a county fair and still not have been found?
I think that the thief must have been staff or appear to in some way be a person in charge of the ride. If some random person just pulled a truck up and started stealing a roller coaster I would think that they would have been stopped. The thief must have sold it because a roller coaster isn't the easiest thing to hide.
2) Do you belive that the roller coaster will be found?
I don't belive that the roller coaster will be found, at least not for a long time. The crime occured in a small town and the stollen roller coaster really isn't worth that much. Also, plolice still havn't located the thief over a week later, so the thief is, at least for now, doing well at not being discovered.

Super job Sam!
I think that he posted a a repair and inspections agent for the roller coaster and that he said he was taking it to be repaired and i think he already has it hidden probably out of towns. I think that there is a posability that it can be found but I still dont think it will be easy.
It would make a lot of sense that he was a repair man or inspector and becuase of that was able to get the roller coaster. I agree with you that the roller coaster is probably out of town and I also think that it won't be easy to find it.
I think that the thief just got very lucky and just managed to squeeze through without being noticed. This statement is pretty unlikely but what are the odds that an employee allowed this to happen? I think that the ride will eventually be found. I think this because how easy is it to hide a large ride like that?
I think that the theif was able to steal the roller coaster because he could have worked their and knew how all the rides worked and how to take the carts of the tracks. I believe that the roller coaster will be found because you don't see a random roller coaster everywhere you go.
1.) I think this guy would have to be pretty smart. This would really take a lot of planning. Espically to do this during the day. I also believe that this person had something to do with working there. I don't think anyone else could just do this without anyone finding out.
2.) Yes, I think that there is a way that they can track it down. I think that they really should interview people that also work there. This would allow to see if anyone saw who took the coaster. I think that this would probably be the best way for people to find who did it.
I agree that the thief must have been a smart person in order to pull this off. I also agree that he must have planed a lot in order to pull the heist during the day. I don't think that they will find the roller coaster becuase at this point it could be in Russia or in a shed, either way it probably won't be found.
It was proabably the person that normally works at that roller coaster becuase there is no way someone could just steal a roller coaster with out getting caught. The person that stole the roller coaster will probably keep it hidden for a while until the news about it missing goes down then they will most likely set it up. I mean they proabably should have been able to fine a stolen roller coaster, but if they haven't found it by now they probably won't find it.
I agree that it is likely that the theif normally worker the roller coaster. I think that it is most likely the roller coaster gets sold and then won't be found, or maybe they will use it for entertainment in which case I still don't think that it will be found because someone smart enough to get awau with this would be smart enough not to set up some easily identifiable roller coaster.
He must have been working at the Fair and he must have been really familiar with how the machine worked to tow it out of the fair. I dont think they will find it espically in a small town. With it already being a week and no leads or anything to the roller coaster it is unlikely that they will find it.
