An 88 year old man from Nevada went into a hospital and shot his wife in the chest. He is charged with attempted murder and is held on 225,000$ bond and suicide watch. The shooting happened Sunday with a recently-purchased small caliber semi-automatic handgun. The woman's name, age and the motive of the shooting were not clear.
What do you guys think happened? Why do you think the man would do that to his wife? I don't exactly know why he would do that to his wife. Maybe he thought she was suffering?

this is very sad, he might have thought that she was suffering too much and could not see her like that.
The only logical reason I could see him shooting her is because she was suffering. Or maybe he didn't want to pay her bills.
He said his wife had been paralyzed for two weeks after an accident and she told him she didn't want to live anymore. His "mission" was to kill his wife and then himself but his gun jammed after the first shot.
Yeah, maybe that's how they both wanted to die.
I wonder if he shot her because she was extremely sick and she wanted to die but the hospital cant kill her because its illegal.

Having your wife in the hospital and then going and shooting her just doesn't make sense. Why would somebody kill their wife? The man probably has some mental issues to go shooting an already sick person, especially if they put him on suicide watch.
I think it might be because he didn't want to see her suffer.
