Summary
A Michigan subcontractor found an 8 month old dog locked in a basement starved and near death. Seeing the dogs condition he immediately ran to the store to get some dog food for the dog. The dog didn't trust him at first and wouldn't eat any food. It took two hours to just get the dog out of the basement. The dog had been alone in the basement for almost a week. When the property manager finally got her to eat and out of the basement he took her to the vets. She got new shots new collar and most importantly a new name- Whiskey. When asked if he would keep the dog his answer was "Yes! Have you seen those eyes?!"

I would react the same way because dogs need to be taken care of. Getting food and earning the dogs trust was a smart idea to help this dog. I would keep it because just like every other dog it deserves a friendly environment and to be loved.

I would have reacted in the same way. I like dogs and would try my hardest to help it. I would keep the dog but maybe get it some help at first because it might be traumatized from the what recently happened. I would defiantly help it though.
Most people would just help the dog and then all they would do is turn it in to a vet.
If it had been me I would have done the exact same thing. Though some people may not enjoy the presence of animals, if that had been a person anyone in there right mind would have saved them. I think it is wrong that all across the world things like this are happening and why would you treat a living, breathing, animal like this. I would have kept the dog 100%. If someone else like the previous owner took in the dog it wold die. Things like this need to stop.
Exactly! People don't understand that they are living things to! They have feelings just like us humans!
I would of done the same would of gotten the dog some water and food and would of kept that dog.

I would have reacted right away by getting supplies for the starving and abandoned dog! I would love to keep it, but I would have it trained, inspected for any abnormalities, then have it pampered for a week or two. Whiskey deserves it.
