Carlos Alberto Amarillo called 911 early Wednesday morning saying " I killed them because they are witches, I want the police to kill me. I killed them with a hammer." When the police responded to the house after the cal they reported that he came out of the house carrying a bible saying "I killed them, I killed them." When police entered the house they found his girlfriend, Estrella Castaneda, 56, on a bed with a pillow over her face and the rubber of the hammer beside her body and her daughter, Lina Castaneda, 25, on the floor in the same room with injuries to her head and the hammer beside her body. Some good news was that they found Lina Castaneda's 7 year old daughter safe in her mothers room. When interviewed by the police Carlos said that they were " performing voodoo and casting spells on him." Neighbors reported that they hear hammering sounds but the odd thing was that the heard no screaming.
I am so glad that they found the young girl unharmed but I have no clue what he would think that they were performing "spells" on him. Why do you think he did it? Why do you think he left the young girl unharmed?

I have no Idea what kind of drug this guy was on but they should pry find out because he obviously was effected by either a drug or a mental problem
Would seem kinda hard to muffle 2 peoples screams at the same time. Unless they were sleeping who knows.
I have no idea why this guy did what he did. I think this family has some mental issues. Its interesting why the young girl wasn't harmed.
That is just weird. First of all why would you marry someone like that, and second of all just leave. no need to kill them.

Maybe they were calling him names in a weird way. The young girl probably wasn't part of any of it.
I think the man may have been a little crazy and possibly on something. He probably left the little girl unharmed because she wasn't a "witch" or she had hid enough for him not to know where she was.
I was thinking the same thing about the little girl, or that he forgot about her.
This is so horrible! I'm not sure how one could carry out such an act. I am happy that the little girl is alive, but also sad that her mother is not. I think it's weird how the people heard the hammers but not screaming.
