Man Jumps White House Fence and Makes it Inside.

On Friday, the 19th, a man named Omar Gonzalez, from Copperas Cove, Texas, was recorded on footage jumping the white house North fence, but instead of getting caught, he was able to make it inside the building without being touched. Some of the White House was evacuated after the situation was called in. The First Family was not reported in the White House at the time, because they had left with their daughters to visit Camp David just 4 minutes earlier. After all the commotion, Omar had not said how or why he had jumped the fence to the White House, but he was found unarmed when they caught him. Security Officials retraced his footsteps for traces of anything he may of dropped they may be harmful to the President or anyone else, making sure it is clean. Later the suspect was loaded onto an ambulance, but it is still unclear what happened to him or how he scaled the fence without being caught. This has happened multiple times, but no situation where they have successfully made it into the White House.

Below is the cnn report of what happened

Why do you think Omar was able to make it so far across the North lawn into the White House, without being caught?

Do you think he was a potential threat, or somebody looking for a lot of trouble?

  • Again, be sure to hyperlink correctly.

  • because no security officials is watching that way or someone let him go.

  • I think it is pathedic that he even got that far without being caught, obviously they need more security or just better guards. I think it was because maybe the gaurds were idk on break or something or just weren't paying attention. I don't think he was necessarily a huge threat but then again you never know.

  • I think this Omar guy was just making irresponsible decisions and could have been a warning to the U.S about lone wolf terrorist.

  • If it has happened multiple times, that obviously means that the security is not as good as it should be. Since he wasn't armed, I don't think that he would be a big threat, but someone looking for trouble, since he would be caught sometime, and wouldn't make it very far.

  • Ya I don't understand how they didn't catch him like its the white house they should of caught him its the white house! I don't think he was a threat because he did not have any arms maybe he just really wanted to meet someone or you never know.

  • Their security wasn't that good Friday. I don't see why they didn't catch him jumping over their fence. and they is a good chance that he was a threat or he just wanted to see how far he could make it.

  • I think this guy was just with a group of guys who dared him, he bet them that he could do it, and they didn't believe him, so he did it. In the white house, security is waiting for a small army, but they're not prepared for some idiot that can jump over a 4 foot fence.

    • I would think that would be the most logical and popular reason for him jumping the fence. That is something I can better see happening.

  • They did not see any armaments on him, so they thought that it was unnecessary to fire; according to the news. He does have a mental disability, so i think he may of wanted to harm the president. He was unarmed so i don't think he intended to harm the president.
