20-year old Cody Cody Lee Jackson from Ohio, allegedly raped, impregnated and held a minor captive while wearing an electronic monitoring device in connection with a previous abduction case.
Jackson reached the minor through Facebook in February and had a taxi come to his apartment to get her.
He had a taxi scheduled to get her every day after school and if she disobeyed or tried to leave she was punished physically and verbally.
He held her against her will for months, where she got pregnant.
Judges are not sure how this could happen with 6 control home-visits during this time, without anyone noticing.

How do you think could this happen while the man had been controlled? Do you think there should be more controls and stricter rules for people with ankle devices?
My opinion:
I think it's a shame that this happened! In my opinion the rules and controls should be stricter and the authorities should look after these criminals even more! The guy had a previous conviction and especially rapists and kidnapper should be looked after even harder and controlled even stricter, to make sure that something as horrible as this would never happen again.

My question is, why isn't a convicted rapist/kidnapper doing life in prison? Ankle bracelets are best served for petty crimes, in my opinion. Had he been in prison, this girl would have never had to experience this.
RIght?! I don't understand why he only has to wear an ankle brace after he already raped a girl? The laws and controls definitely should be stricter on criminals.
I think that they need more people to watch him. They also need stricter rules because an ankle device certainly isn't enough.

They should keep people that have things like those ankle things under watch or something so they can see if they still are doing the bad stuff they were doing before
You can't truly know everything about someone's life without invading and ripping through all their private things, which is virtually impossible. I think there should be someone monitoring movements of someone with an ankle bracelet at all times.
I agree! The only way to prevent these horrible things is to control these criminals better and tracking them would be a good way to be sure of where they are and went.
That's exactly my opinion! I don't think it's okay to let them almost do whatever they want to, so yes I agree that they should be watched and controlled better.
I think that an ankle bracelet is not enough. There should at least be surprise visits to make sure these people are doing everything within the rules.
