A man from Bloomfield, Indiana went into a convenience store and while was filling up a cup with a fountain drink. He took a hot dog and put it in his pocket. He then went and paid for the drink that only cost $1.10, but not the hot dog. After police watched the security camera footage, they are now charging the man with a felony theft charge.
I think this is pretty strange that the guy paid for his fountain pop, but not the hot dog. I don't understand why the guy would steal a hot dog. What are your thoughts on this? Would you ever steal a hot dog?

Maybe the man only had enough money for the drink and was really hungry. I don't know what he was thinking, pretty dumb thing to do.
Maybe he didn't mean to steal the hot dog? I don't know....it seems pretty strange that he would steal the hot dog, but pay for the drink. It would make more sense if he grabbed the hot dog and put it in his pocket while he filled up his drink, and then just forgot about it. I'm not saying that's what happened, but I just don't understand why someone would steal a hot dog of all things.
Hot dogs are really expensive maybe next time he'll steal something even more expensive, like a pack of gum. They should just make him pay $10.
This is just crazy who steals a hot dog? whats the point just pay the couple of dollars it costs for the hot dog if you can't afford it don't steal it.
He obviously had money if he could pay for the pop so I don't understand why he didn't just pay for them both. I don't think he should be charged with a felony just for a hot dog.
I think that some people may think that it is silly to charge him for such a small item but I think it is good that they caught him and are reinforcing the law. Stealing is stealing no matter how big or how small the item.
Thats pretty weird... I think its crazy how they are charging him with a felony. I have heard of people stealing things and they usually dont have consequent that bad!
This is really strange. He would pay for his drink but not the hot dog maybe he was poor an only had certain amount of money. The hot dog must have looked good to him an he wanted it.
