Man ends 70 ears of marriage with a gun

Police were called to the Country Villa assisted living community in Southern Californa this past week due to gunshots.  When they got there they found 86 year old Clara Laird lying dead on the floor from a gunshot wound to the head and her husband holding the gun.  Their daughter tells reporters that they were a loving couple and that her father took care of her mother when her condition began to deteriorate and then when he put her in the home he visited her three times a day and fed her all her meals.  She also says that he would have done anything she asked of him, that this was a mercy killing not a murder. LInk

He put up with her for 70 years why not let her live she obviously wasnt that bad or he would have done it sooner.

its pretty cool that he helped his wife even though her brain was basically gone but i dont think he should have killed her as a "mercy" killing he should have just let her lived and kept taking care of her

atleast she went out with a bang. Im kidding thats terrible she was killed but i understand why he did it. i mean he was watching his wife die slowly and miserably before his eyes.

well thats terrible. i don't see how you could do that to your wife if you had been married that long. I know i wouldn't be able to even if its what she wanted. i wouldn't be able to kill her.
