Man demands kidney back from ex-wife

A surgeon, Richard Bastista, donated his kidney to his wife to save her life 8 years ago. He did it for love of her after he was found to be the perfect match. Then his wife repaid his kindness by having an affair then filing for divorce. The break up has been drug out for three years because he wants the value of his kidney back. (he wants the money worth of his kidney, not the kidney itself)People say that he can't ask for money because his kidney was a gift. What do you think? Should he get the money or not?

  • Wow, she;s not a very nice wife. She literally has this man's organ inside her to save her life and she does that to him? Well, he sounds like an "indian giver" to me. Which basically means giving someone a gift then wanting it back.
  • haha oh boy this is pretty crazy, but he shouldnt get money because it was a gift. If someone give u a present you dont ask them to pay for it.
  • Its bs that she sold it. wow
  • I think that the sooner that this guy gets away from that ungrateful lady the better.
  • if it was his choice to give it to her i dont think he deserves anything back
  • Its defnitely a gift. He gave it to her out of the kindness of his heart, to save her life. I think its being selfish an rude to ask for the value of his kindney back.
  • He's the one that gave the kidney to her in the first place so I don't think he should get re-paid for it.
  • I guess he really needs the money for some drugs. Who knows. Adultery pisses me off
  • ah no he should not get money for it. he gave it out of love and the relationship didnt work out its just life.
  • um, no. that's dumb. i mean i feel bad for the dude that his wife cheated on him and all but... thats more of a personal problem. i think that he should just get over it, and hope nothing happens to his other kidney.
