Man arrested in Colorado bomb case.

Law enforcement officers have identify the man who left the homemade bomb outside a police station in a small northern Colorado town. Two officers with knowledge of the case have told the press that 64-year old David Michael Ansberry has been taken into custody in Chicago. A detective found the bomb in a backpack, he brought it in the station believing it was a lost. The device was searched and then later detonated in the parking lot in the town's main retail complex. Officers say it was an active bomb that failed to go off. It was not clear what charges the man faced. The case rattled the town of 1,500 people.

What do you think would have happened if the bomb did detonate at the police station? Link

  • Great job replying Kenzy!  Please ask two question and add your opinions as well into your summary next time.

  • I think it would have been charged as a terrorist attack and it would cause a lot of controversy. Until the man has identified why he did this, there isn't much else to say.

    • True, it would have taken a little longer to find who did it. He would be in a lot of trouble

  • I think that the bomb would have killed many people and that it would cause a lot of damage.

    • It would have taken many innocent lives and caused damage that would likely take them a while to rebuild the station and get peoples confidence back.

  • I think it would of killed a lot of officers. These would of been innocent people that would of died. I think its weird that people can just figure out how to build a bomb. If you can just look up how to make a bomb and find out how to make one.

    • I agree it is weird shouldn't the government make sure only military people have ways to build a bomb and not normal citizens. It would make the country a little safer.

  • It would killed multiply law enforcement officers and be a tragedy if the didn't catch the bomb.

    • Yes it would have been a great tragedy if the bomb did go off.

  • Its weird that the bomb did not actually go off, but just thinking that there was a bomb in the little town. If the bomb went off a lot of things would happen, there would be less protection in the town and families being sad of lost family members
