Rong Yuan an engineer in California had been having bad sudden illnesses for over a year now, there were times when she even had to get emergency medical care. 34 year old man, David Xu, was arrested after after suspicions on poison Rong Yuan multiple times. After they reviewed surveillance video they saw Xu putting a foreign substance into her food and drinks. He is being accused of poisoning three different people after two of Rong Yuan’s family/friends drank from one of her bottles and got immediately sick after words. Doctors did some tests on the three of them and found high amounts of cadmium in there blood, which can cause serious medical issues. “Xu has a plea hearing set for Thursday”(USA Today).

Like many others, I believe David Xu should stay in for maybe 10 or more years. Although you could say poisining is not a violent crime, you have to factor on what could of happened to these people. I don't really know any other motives for Xu, but he might just be mentally insane or did not get along with Rong Yuan.
I think David Xu should face 10 or more years in prison. Its just wrong to poison someone and do it more than one time too. I think he did this to her because he maybe might have some type of mental illness or maybe he just doesn't like her at all and just wants her to be dead.
I think the minimum sentence should at least be five years or more because he could've potentially killed those people and put their family members in danger. It could have been a mental issue or he could've had past with Yuan, but there is no reason given yet as to why he would do such a thing. I'm surprised that Yuan didn't catch on to this earlier.
I think that it is sick to cause people harm and specially for that long. Matters should be takes seriously and should be consistent of how much damage this man has done mentally and physically. They probably had a rivalry that did not get along well, and then he decided to take matters to his own hands.
If David Xu is found guilty he should spend at the least ten years in prison. Things like this need to be taken seriously and another attack of this nature could result in the deaths of people. I think David Xu may be mentally unstable and must hold a serious grudge against Rong Yuan. Still not sure what type of person thinks this is ok
1.) If Dacid Xu is found guilty I think he should face over 10 years in prison. I believe that allegedly poisoning your coworker(s) is extremely wrong and no one should do it. Especially because it eventually poisoned that co workers friends I believe David Xu should face upwars of 15 maybe even 30 years in prison.
2.) I have no idea what would make anyone want to poison a coworker or even someone that you barely know. It is wrong and makes no sense.
He should be charged with attemted murder and get atleast 10 years in prison because there was a chance that he could have killed her on multiple ocasions. He probably has some type of mental problems or something because people don't just do something like this for no reason.
I think he should be charged with like alleged murder because he could have killed him, so however many years you spend for that is what I think he should serve. David Xu is probably mentally insane because no one deserves that for not doing anything to them.
I honestly think the David Xu should be put in prison for a few decades because if he was poisoning these people and it caused them to be sick and in some cases hospitalized he should pay the price. He must have had something he hated about her, that or he must have been mentally sick.
