James Jordan was arrested for the attack on one male and one female hiking on a trail in Virginia. One was killed and the other was seriously injured. The police won't tell news reporters which one of the two people had died but they said the other is recovering. When brought into the hospital the male and the female had not been identified and still aren't. The couple was found by the police from the man's phone that he called help on. The police traced the call back to the phone and got the couple's location. The authorities had Jordan surrounded and Jordan surrendered willingly to them. Jordan is now under arrest by the Wythe County Police. He has been charged with one account of assault/ intent of murder for injuring one of the hikers and also charged with an account of murder for the other one that has died. While in custody Jordan's first expected court hiring is tomorrow.

I believe he should be in jail for life. He killed somebody and attempted to kill another. I was researching it and apparently, it is 30-40 to even life. If anyone takes a life I think they should be in jail for life.

What makes a killer want to kill? I don't think anyone knows. Maybe he was mentally ill, they looked at him wrong, or he was so jealous of something that he lashed out. There are a number of things that people would kill for. But it doesn't give anyone the right to kill another human being.

I agree with you Joey that this man should get some specialist to help him with his problem and should stay away from others, behind bars of course. This man should spend the rest of his life in a cell or in a mental hospital thing.
I also agree with you that Jordan should be in jail but the question is how long should he be in jail. I believe that he should be in jail for the rest of his life due to the fact that he intended to kill two people and successfully killed one.
I think that he should be in jail for life, too, because if you take the life of another person, then you should have to spend your life in jail. That's a hard question to answer because like you asked... what makes a killer want to kill? Yes, he was probably mentally ill but who knows.
I agree that he should be in prison for a really long time because he took someone elses life and now they can't live out theres. And I think that either he could of had some mental issues like you metioned or maybe he had a personal issue with the couple that made him want to do this.
I also agree with you that he should be in jail for life. He did a bad thing and he deserves the punishment of jail for life. Nothing has been decided yet but I believe that he should be in jail for the rest of his life or a good chunk of the rest of his life.
I think he should be in jail for life for such a violent crime, he deserves to rot in jail for doing something like this. He may have been mentally ill, or he could be obsessed with famous cases like the machete murders in California, he may have been trying to copycat that killer
I agree and the amount that he is to be in jail is yet to be decided but in my opnion, I think he should be put in jail for life. I didn't know that there were famous killings using machetes in California. Maybe he was trying to replicate them.
James should be in jail for life. I do not think he should get away with it since he killed and injured someone. James might of had a personal problem with them. He might have a mental illness or something. I am not sure though. Not unless he says James says something.

I think James should be in jail for 20 to 30 years because this a major crime, so maybe longer like 30 to 35.
I honestly don't know what goes through these peoples' minds, but I do know that they crazy to do something like this. Chances are he was drunk or mentally ill.
