Feature- rich smartphones aren't cheap, and critics of pricey moblie devices often claim that they are too expensive, despite their wide-ranging capabilities. Those people will want to look away now, as the newest device from Danish luxury retailer Aesir is sure to make their blood boil. Introducing the limited edition AE+Y phone --- an 18-carat solid gold handset that can't apps, email, or moblie internet, but still carries a ridiculous price of $60,000. The lavish device boasts features such as speed dail, call forwarding, and even a built-in calculator. Its LCD screen measures a modest 2", and its battery can handle a measly 5 hours of talk time.                                         What are your thoughts?

  • The phone sounds like it sucks but i think it would be pretty cool to have a solid gold phone. But i'd never buy it because it would be a waste of money, and its way to expensive. Especially since you dont have mobile interenet, no email, or apps.
  • That's dumb. I would never waste money a phone like that. Why would someone want a phone for 60,000 dollars?
  • Well it might be bade of gold but without all the new features I'd say it is DEFIANTLY not worth even close to that much money!
  • Why would I buy a $60,000 phone when I could buy how many used cars or at least two new cars. I'll stay with my phone than buy a 60,000 dollar phone. Plus I don't have the money.
  • That's nuts! If i had that much money, I'd still rather get a smart phone that was capable of apps and email! That phone might be pricy, but wouldn't be good enough for me with those restrictions.
  • okay so if i would ever have enough money to spend $60,000 on a phone i would want it to be able to do a ton of things and it doesnt sound like this phone is a very high quality phone so no i would never consider it
  • Why would you buy a $60,000 dollar phone that can't do apps, email, or mobile internet when you can get a $50 phone with a $50 rebate and do the exact same thing. In my opinion this is not a smartphone. A smartphone is supposed to be a phone that you can have apps on, have your email on it, and allow you to surf the internet. (like the iPhone)
  • That kind of money I would expect something that could do anything that I could think of. The battery would last at least two days. Does a phone really need to be 18 carat gold and cost $60,000. You don't even get apps, email, or internet.
  • That is crazy. I would never spend my money on that especially if you can't email, do apps, or have mobile internet on it. With a price tag of $60,000, it should be able to have more than 5 hours of talk time in my opinion.
