In a discreet location in Kansas lies the old Atlas Missile Silo, built in 1960 by the US Military during the Cold War. This silo was built to withstand a direct nuclear attack and other explosives with 2.5 ft to 9 ft thick walls and blast doors. Now in recent years, Survival Condos have changed this unused Silo into a luxurious condominium complex. Unfortunately, only the rich are able to afford these with half-floor units starting at $1.5 million and full floor units starting at $3 million. With special generators, a farming area and an aqua-phonics area, this 14 story, underground building can be completely self sustaining for 5 years, with a 5 year supply of dehydrated food in each unit. The residents have access to a pool and spa, fully functioning gym, library, learning center, movie theater, lounge, bar, and many other amenities such as a bunker garage for their vehicles. There is also military grade security and surveillance with specially trained guards. How will the buyers get to Kansas in the middle of a crisis if they don't live close? This information in only shared with buyers; Survival Condos have special ways to get these people to their condos.
All of the condos int he Atlas Missile Silo are sold out. Don't worry, there is another bunker being built and if you wish to purchase, you can design your condo however you'd like. Contact a designer here.

Questions:
1. Do you think it's fair that these condos are so highly priced? Why or why not?
2. If our world ends up in mass destruction, would you rather go down with the world or be safe and have to deal with the destruction that's left? Why or why not?
My Opinion:
I think that they're expensive in the sense that they're luxury. Obviously it's a commodity you can afford only if you're rich. In a sense though, there are apartments in New York or other big cities that are around the same price and size. If there was a way that there could be a larger building with more, smaller condos/apartments then more people could afford them. I would probably choose to get destroyed with the earth. I don't want to have to deal with sun flares or terrible radiation or anything else that could happen from a nuclear war. Besides, it'd be really cut-throat.

Well done!
no i think they should be fairly priced not over priced
i think id wont to live and be one of the few standing up to every thing else becuse less droma and there whould be less laws
Why do you think they're overpriced? What would you call a fair price for all of those luxuries included in the complex?
I get that this is for survival against nuclear attacks, but them being super nice and having things like a gym, pool, and spa allow it to make sense. I would rather survive. I say this because I would use my abilities to try and safe what left of the earth and bring back the human race with all that ive got.
I agree, the luxuries bump up the price. I think it's cool how you would be willing to give everything to bring back the human race, I'm not that brave.
I think that it is fair because it has all the living needs that a person needs to have. Yes, these do sound very nice and everybody would want one, however those price amounts are kind of high. I would rather go down with the world, because you are just gonna have nothing left to live with. Going down with my family and getting to spend my last minutes, hours or whatever it may be with them would be what I would want.
I agree, the price of everything that it takes to keep us alive is high. I agree, I don't want all of my good memories on earth to be ruined by the mass devastation.
I think that it is fair they are expensive because it is possible to buy another nuclear bunker for cheaper prices and stock them yourselves but of course it won't be as luxurious as the ones they have built unless you want to put the money into it. Now if the world does end up in mass destruction it would be a pain to survive but you wouldn't be alone you would have whoever was in your room with you and whoever else filled up the building. I think it would be worth surviving because there would be others out their to find and help still.
I agree, there's a reason they're expensive. The building would be full of strangers also, but you never know, good things could come out of surviving.
Well In my opinion, It is fair that these condos are highly priced because from the sounds of it they are very nice. Also, they are basically being sold so you don't die, so you're basically buying life. I think it I would be too sad to continue on without the rest of the world. Plus, I think that If I had to live out my years underground I would get bored.
