We don’t believe it

We don’t (want to) believe a report from Us Weekly that Billy Ray Cyrus and wife Tish are breaking up their 17-year marriage because Tish had an affair with BretMichaels. The mag reports that Billy Ray filed for divorce on Oct. 27 when he learned about the alleged affair and at least one other fling.

A source tells the mag Bret “became close to the entire family” earlier this year when he and Miley released their duet, “Nothing to Lose.” “Billy Ray was completely unaware of what was going on,” the source says.

We prefer to believe Bret’s rep, Joann Mignano, who issued this seething statement: “The reports of my client having an affair with Tish are completely unfounded and a complete fabrication.

“Bret has been a close friend of the family for some time .… It’s unfortunate that the sad breakup of Billy Ray and Tish has to be further tainted with these lies being reported.”

  • WHO CARES It's their business why does the media have to tell the world about one stupid divorce?
  • Thats to bad. i dont see why people feel the need to have affairs.
  • Poor Billy Ray :(
  • wow everytime i listen to the radio i hear something about one of them filing the divorce papers and stuff like that
  • even though i highly doubt this to be true because Brett is a good man, but i could see it happen if Brett was a sleazeball.
  • he should definatly not have believed the rumors because a lot of time theyre false. he shouldve just brushed them off and talked to tish and bret
  • thats really messed up, why would people do that in the first place??
  • When this came out I had to give my mom a hard time that every famous guy she's in love with cheats on their wife. Ashton Kutcher, Bret Michaels. But yeah, it just goes to show you that you can be married for 17 years (or more, or less) and still not be soul mates
  • people do things for publicity.. i'm not doubting the legitness of this but i really don't care what celebs do
  • I don't think Bret Micheals had anything to do with it - its just the media's blame game. It is sad that he had to be brought into it.
