The same safari park where Cecil the lion lived is where 40 year old Quinn Swales was killed by a lion. Cecil the lion lived in the Zimbabwe park and was killed by an american hunter who lured him out of the park and killed him illegally. At the same park, another lion kills Quinn, a safari guide.
While Quinn was taking a group of tourists on a walking safari, A lion charged the group and Quinn did everything he could to protect the visitors. No other members of the safari group were injured. Camp Hwange (the park name) said that Quinn was a fully qualified and experienced guide. This current event happened Monday morning.
I don't think it is safe to go anywhere near wild animals especially if you have no protection or are just walking. At least if you were in a vehicle you could get away.
Do you think it is safe to take tourists on a walking safari?

Again, great job replying!! Work a little bit more on your summaries. Just explain things a little bit better.
If things like this happen, no I do not think it is very safe. If you are willing to risk it, then go for it, but I do not think it is the smartest idea. We do not know what the animals could do.
I
If they were in a vehicle, or even had something protecting the people from the animals, it would be a lot safer.
I also agree. Its less life threatening if you were in a vehicle and I bet you the view is the same.
I don't think it is safe to do that be cause that is there territory to Rome around in we don't need to ruin it for the animals
Yes I agree. they just needed more protection and made sure they didn't disturb the animals
In my opinion this event shows again that people should leave wild animals alone and that no matter if there is an experienced guide with you or not safaris should be prohibited.
Yes. I agree with you to a point. I think you should still be able to view these animals as long as you are safe and not disturbing the animals
Okay, if everyone is safe and the animals won't get disturbed by tourists than safaris would be okay, but as long as that is not happening and the animals still get disturbed and irritated by tourists I don't think safaris should be legal.
