Last U.S World War I Veteran Dies

The last U.S world war I veteran died at the age of 110. His name was Frank Buckles. He died peacefully in his home on Sunday February 27th.

I would hate to live that long. Thanks for serving our country though.

Ah that's so sad :( He was the last upfront witness to a huge part of World History. What a lucky guy to live through the war and even to 110 years old!

Its too bad that now, all the kids that need to write reports on WWI vetrans will have no one to interview or observe.

Thats really cool that he was 110 when he died. Thats really old for a person not in war. Also i think its really cool that he wanted a memorial for the WW1 veterans...and i think its cool how even though he lied to go to war he is the last one alive!

This guy probably had a lot of memories and stories to tell. He's lucky he made it that far and it's cool that he stuck it out that long.

110! jeez to bad he had to die i mean he is historic, but at least he will be remembered for his service in the war.

It is very sad to think that no more men or women who fought in WWI are alive anymore. 110 is a very long life by the way.
