Pope Francis left for Seoul, South Korea last Thursday, on a mission to re-introduce the idea of peace and unity to the North and South. North Korea "flexed it's muscles" at the sight of power by firing off projectiles into the sea before, and after the Pope and entered Seoul. South Korean officials said that things like this had been happening for years, especially when there is a large event. Even though this had happened so close to the huge events taking place, the Vatican spokesman had tried to almost ignore the situation all together, and when asked said he didn't even think the Pope was told of what had transpired. In the five days that Francis will be in the Korean peninsula, He will be expected to give multiple speeches every day, four of which in English, as apposed to Italian or Spanish, in an effort to "accommodate" the public.
What kind of message do you thing North Korea is trying to send by shooting projectiles so close to the South's Capital?
What do you think the future has to hold for this divided Nation?

Again, well done!!
They don't want to be pushed to peace. They want to be left alone and do their own things their own way.
Follow up question: North Korea talks a big game, but do you think that they would actually choose to start a conflict? how do you think they would go about doing that?
That North Korea doesn't want "peace and unity" ; they want to be in control. Pope Francis is trying to ignore or is unaware of the problems, however that doesn't change what North Korea does. They are dangerous and should be treated accordingly. That conflict is going to continue or get worse.
Most of America sees Kim Jong Un as a nuisance, or doesn't pay him attention, but he is dangerous, and we do need to be cautious with what he does.
North Korea seems like they just want to show how big they are in front of powerful people. Kim Jong Un is probably just showing off trying to say that he can attack at any moment he feels like but chooses not to. The future for this divided nation I think is not going to look good but I still think we are a long time before Kim shows any true threat.
