Conrad Alvin Barrett was taking part in a game called "Knockout Game". The goal of the game is to walk up to a random person and see if you can knock them out with one punch. The 81 year old Roy Coleman suffered two jaw fractures and was hospitalized for several days after the incident in 2013. The cellphone footage was released with Alvin "saying Hey how's it going?" then hitting him to the ground. The plan is to see if I were to hit a black person, would this be nationally televised. Alvin was sentenced to 6 years last month for hate crime.
Why do you think people want to be a part of this violent game?
What would you do if you saw a random person get punched in the face and knew it related to this game?

They probably do this to make themselves look tough and to feel tough. If i saw this i would call the cops and help the person who was punched.
People probably feel achieved when they knock someone out. If i saw this I would try to stop the people
Honestly this might be the stupidest thing I ever seen. I think people play this game to see who is tougher and stronger. I would probably laugh at them.

People maybe want to push themselves with that. Maybe they also film it and post it in any social network. I would probably yell to that person to make him/her stop and call the police if I would see that at a street or something.
I think that they want to play because there are probably people doing stuff like this and posting it on the internet. This makes people want to post for more attention. I would feel terrible. There is no reason for people to be walking around punching random people.
Just the fact that he did this to a poor innocent old man is just heart dropping. I think people play this to look cool in front of other people especially their friends
I think they want to take part in this game because it makes them feel cool and look cool to their friends. I would probably call the cops after I finished yelling at the person and making sure the person that got punched was okay.
The fact that anyone would do that is sickening, but to do it to an old man is even worse. Some people don't know how to treat others the way they want to be treated until something bad like this happens to them or someone close.
