Back in 2014 the beard was broken off of king Tuts mask during a restoration project. There were 8 people involved in the restoration of the mask. Officials say they did not use proper care when restoring the mask. They have been investigating this incident since it happened back in 2014 and they just decided to charge them this week. Some say the mask broke due to aging, the mask is 3,300 years old.

I don't think they should be charged, maybe fired or demoted, but there could be multiple reasons why the mask broke. Besides it's a mask, yes it's thousands of years old, but it's not like they killed someone.
I do believe they should be charged because they knew it was a risky situation and obviously didn't use the right precautions.

I'm not sure if I think that they should be charged or not. On one side I see that they should have treated it with better care and as they are professionals they should have known how to treat such a treasure, especially since you would think they know its value. On the other side it could have been an accident where the people didn't do anything wrong. I think many people don't realize that the mask is a few thousands of years old and it is very easy to break , so again I'm not sure I see both views, but I can't decide between them.

I agree with most of you. It doesn't matter when it was broken they still were responsible for the mask, and they still broke it.
I don't think they should because if they are now just deciding to charge them its pointless because it was a year ago that it had happened. I think that they should just watch them now more carefully or something if they knew how to handle it maybe they should have someone there watching them.
