There have been reports of clown sightings near apartments by the woods in Greenville country, South Carolina. The reports have stretched beyond children hearing noises and seeing people with clown face paint. Also other have said that they lured them into the woods with money. These clowns are also spreading around like to Florida, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Ohio, Wisconsin and most recently, New York state. With these people dressing up as clowns and peeking threw windows carrying around weapons.
What would you do if you saw a person dressed as a clown and hiding in the woods??
Why do you think that they are doing this??
My Opinion - Honestly if I saw a clown doing something like this I would run and get the the safest place before the clown does something to me. Also If these guys are doing this to get kids into the woods and scary them, I'm surprised they aren't like kidnapping them... I think they are doing it for humor and them to get as many reactions out of kids.

If I saw one of those clowns, I would get to a safe place as quickly as possible without running, because running will bring attention to yourself, and the clown might start chasing after you.
I've heard that although there are certainly some stupid teenagers doing this just for kicks and giggles, most of those clowns (at least the first ones) are sociopaths and are not right in the head, basically like the Joker from Batman (and no, I'm not saying that just because they're clowns, I'm saying that because there is really no better way to put it). They have no conscience, no guilt, and they just kind of do these things compulsively.
I would scream and call the police and if all else fails...I would probably cry. I think it started as a bunch of teenagers doing a prank, but I think it has escalated and some of the bad guys are now joining in and are really actually hurting people.
I would be scared and run especially if they had a weapon. A lot of people are having their friends dress up as clowns as that person records them. I think the clowns are doing this to scare people off.
I would probably run away and/or call the cops. I think that most of the people doing this are probably just doing it for attention. However, there are definitely some clown situations that should be taken seriously, especially if they have a weapon with them!
If I saw a person dressed as a clown that would be scary and I would probably run or get away as fast as I can to avoid the clown. I honestly have no idea why they are dressing up as clowns and scaring people.
I would more than likely break down and start crying. I don't think that I would be able to defend myself, mainly because of my deep fear of clowns. I think that it started off as serial killers/rapists, but people began to think 'hey that would be a fun joke to play on people. Also Halloween is coming, could have this been planned any better?'
Same! and I think so to and with all these movies coming out with clowns everyone is saying because of that I don't think it would be because the last movie with a clown that I can remember came out like 2 years ago so I don't know why they would start now.. I agree like why is it right before Halloween?
If I saw a clown anywhere, don't even doubt me, I'm sprinting teh other way... I don't like clowns. I think there are multiple "groups" or reasons that people are doing it... some are doing it because it's funny and gets them followers on social media, some are psychopaths and pedophiles, and some are just doing it because it's popular right now... Honestly I believe that people are setting up scenes and recording them to be put on social media, I think it's all hype.. Let me know your thoughts!
I agree! Because so far all I have seen was just ones on Facebook and media and I can totally see it in your perspective like I can see those groups and just doing it and putting it on media to get attention. I totally agree with you!!
