A 5 year old went home with the a old man after school. They thought the man was the boys great grandfather. When the family realized that they had the wrong kid the family called the school and the school told them the bring the boy back. When the principal called the boy's mom and tells her what happened she felt that the police should get involved and there be an investigation. There was and investigation made, but it was only because the mom asked for one. What do you think should have happened as a result?

It sounded like it was just an accident, but it's a good thing that the old man wasn't a bad guy.
Like I've said before how could he not you don't have the right kid.
First off, wouldn't you know you had the wrong kid when they got in the car. I think that the people should tell them who they are there to pick up with having some kind of call or paper signed by a parent so that they don't have kids going home with strangers again.
That is a good idea. I don't know you wouldn't know you had the wrong kid.
Yeah the boy definitely got lucky that this didn't end up worse, but like I said in some other reply's if he couldn't realize that he had the wrong kid he shouldn't be driving.

It is a weird story. thing could have been much worse than what happened
I don't understand how the old man didn't know that the little boy was the wrong boy. If he is family then he should know unless he has Alzheimer. I do agree with the mom about the need of an investigation.
I thought the same thing if you are to old to realize that you have the wrong kid I don't think you should be driving.
