Kentucky Church being racist?

A small church in Kentucky, had a vote on having interracial couples becoming members in the church. What was their vote? 9-6. Nine people did not want the couple to become members.  Stella Harville and Ticha Chikuni, whose is african, are not allowed to become members becasue the church has no ban interracial couples. They are allowed to attend church services, but not allowed to be in the service or sing. The person that came up with the voting idea said he is not trying to be racist, but other people think he is.

Wow,  i cant believe someone would do this. I mean this is just wrong adn disrespectful to other people! I really hope this ban gets lifted.

Thoughts on this? Do you think this is racist?

  • I would tell them to go to a synagogue and try out to be jewish. i bet they'll accept you.

  • I think it isnt really racist, and the people can just find another church that would let them be members and stuff.

  • I agree with Melissa, they aren't following thenexample ofmgod. That is very racisist. If imwere them I would findma church werenu are accepted.
  • That is racist, I believe. It shouldn't matter who joins a church. If it were the Amish, Amana, or even the Mennonites, I understand. But honestly, it shouldn't matter. If the Lord didn't love people of different race/color, would He have created them? I believe that the church needs to rethink their voting and re-vote!

  • No i dont think this is racist. its just keeping someone from the service and singing. They can still attend..
