A Federal Judge agrees to let the giant oil spill go free from the manslaughter of the deaths of 11 workers and the pay a record of $4 billion in penalties. Some of the settlements that the company still has are Corporate criminal Penalty1.3 billion dollars in fines. 1.2 Billion dollars for the fine against drug maker in 2009. Also before the Judge made her ruling, the company owner apologized for what he did to the 11 workers. Macondo well triggered an explosion on the rig and started the spill.
I understand the he may be sorry for the crime that happened in his building but I just want to know why he got the blame instead of who ever started the explosion. Also letting him plead guilty for the crime when he admitted that he knew what happened. I think something is going on in the judges head. What's your thoughts?
