Joseph is going to see Luke Bryan!

A young boy from Iowa is going to see Luke Bryan, a country singer, in concert all because of a YouTube video he posted! Joseph is a third-grader from Mason City, Iowa. A few weeks ago he made a YouTube video talking about how life was living with cerebral palsy, seizures, and hydrocephalus. For several years Joseph had to be fed through a tube. He has been on dialysis for most of his life, where he listened to Luke Bryan with his doctor. Joseph's video received more than 12,000 views. Since then, a listener of US Country 99.9 came forward and has donated two VIP tickets so Joseph and his mother can go see Luke Bryan's concert. The radio station is making sure that Joseph gets to meet with Luke Bryan.

This story shows that there are some very kind and caring people in the world. I think is was very nice for this person to provide Joseph tickets to Luke Bryan's concert. I bet Joseph is super excited about it, and his mother is probably super grateful for the kind person who donated these tickets! Hopefully the person that gave them these tickets feels really good about what they did!

  • I would be very appreciative, of course, and even moreso if I was like Joseph. I have a feeling this family doesn't have a lot of extra money to spend as most of it probably goes to healthcare costs. It's really great to see people who just want to help others who have difficult lives. I wish we had more people with more money who were able to do things like this, because I think a lot more people would if they had the money.

  • Well done Lexie!

  • I would probably be very grateful if I were in a position like Josephs.

I think this is a pretty cool story. I would guess that it is pretty hard to go through life with a disease of some sort where you never have much control of what happens. Every little bit of hope and happiness is good for people. A simple gesture to a person like you and me could mean a lot more to a person with a disease or illness. This story shows how caring and generous people can be.

    • I would be very grateful if I was in his position too! I think it is such an awesome thing for someone to do. I bet it is hard for him growing up with these diseases. Hopefully he had a great time at the concert!
  • I would be so thankful if someone donated the tickets to me, if is was in a situation like Joseph.  I am sure that Joseph will never forget this experience.  I think story is really touching, because you always see stories about all the bad things in the world.  So It always nice to hear people who do these kind of things for other people.

  • I think that this was a great, lifetime opportunity for this kid and I hope others will someday get the same thing. I have a lot of respect for famous people or just people in general who are willing to make someone with a less fortunate situation have the best day ever.

    • I completely agree with you. I think this is such a great thing and it puts a smile on my face!
  • I would be very happy that someone donated money to have me go and see the person in concert! The only thing I would do the same i probably would give them to someone that wouldn't be able to pay for them because I don't have a difficulty with anything and I can go later on in life. This story is awesome I have never heard about someone giving a challenged child concert tickets so he can go see him and spend that kind of money to make sure he sees luke bryan.

    • I would be very happy and thankful is someone had done this for me as well. I agree that this is a great story and hopefully Joseph can enjoy his time at the concert!
  • I would feel so thankful if someone donated the tickets to a concert that I wanted to go to. I think it is so cool that with all that Joseph has been through that it means more that he got them. This story shows that everyone deserves to be able to experience a thing that they have always wanted to do.
