Recently an acoustic guitar played by a Beatles member named John Lennon was discovered by a man that noticed similarities between the one in a magazine he saw and his. An expert was able to confirm that it was John Lennon's missing guitar that he played back in the 1960s that he lost after playing at a concert.
Lennon used this guitar to make many of the groups early songs including "She Loves You," "Please, Please, Me," "All My Loving" and "From Me to You,". He had this guitar for a total of 15 months before it went missing. The guitar was recently sold at an auction for a total of 2.4 million dollars. The auction house in which the guitar was sold had predicted that the guitar would go for $600,000- $800,000.
If you had the money would you buy something so expense from a group or artist you liked? Why or why not?

I wouldn't buy it because I could probably buy better things with that much money. If i'm going to buy something that expensive I should keep it
I would definitely by an item from a group that I liked if I had the chance. If I had the item, I would keep it until I needed money for some reason and a lot of it.
If I had that kind of money, I think I would definitely bid on one of my favorite artist's musical instruments. It would be amazing to own the instrument that had been a part of so many songs you enjoyed. I would definitely keep it.

I would like to know how that man came to posses this guitar. It might not be this man's right to sell this guitar if obtained it in an immoral way.

I would never spend that much money on a guitar no matter who owned it. If I had something that was like that I would probably sell it for college money or to buy a house.
I think if I was obsessed with the person and a huge fun of them I would buy something from them that they were auctioning but I would never spend millions of dollars
