JFK Assassination: The conspiracies

There is a lot of conspiracy theories surrounding the shooting of JFK. One of the conspiracy theories was that Lyndon B. Johnson did it. According to Perry Brown, he whispered into her ear that the Kennedys will never embarass him again after tomorrow. I wouldn't believe this conspiracy just because there was no evidence that he did so, and there wasn't anything that showed he had hatred against JFK.

The second conspiracy I found was that the CIA was to blame for his death. It was said that JFK was fed up with the CIA's shenanigans. He had found out that the CIA was planning to kill Fidel Castro so they were afraid that JFK was going to disband them.  As a result they murdered him. I would believe this more than the first conspiracy just because there was more evidence to back up this calim, including the fact that they felt threatened by him.

The last conspiracy that I felt was important was that it was believed that Lee Harvey Oswald was responsible for his death. It was believed that the CIA wasn't the ones to kill JFK but instead they paid Oswald to murder him. Just a few weeks before the assassination, he was mysteriously at the Russian Embassy in Mexico City. I believe this could be true because if the CIA wanted to assassinate him then they would've hired someone so then they wouldn't be directly responsible for his death.

What is your take on this entire conspiracy about JFK's death?

If you had to choose which story you would believe, which one would it be and why?

If you don't believe any of these conspiracy theories are true, then what do you believe actually happened to JFK?

  • Great story choice and good job overall Mason! I do think you should have opened your summary with a brief summary of what happened as some people may not now. Then go into conspiracy theories. -10 late

  • I think that whoever did kill JFK did a really good job on covering it up. I've seen videos of conspiracy theories on this topic, and I don't think we will be able to solve this mystery. But I do think it was a group of people paid by another group of people or the killers were all behind it. In the video I watched, it said how there were at least two gunshots fired in different directions at the same time. That would mean there were many people involved. The driver could've drove a different route in the rigth spot to where JFK was a clear target. Then there were at leats two gunmen, but I don't think we will be bale to solve it since it was so long ago.

  • In my opinion I would believe that Lee Harvey Oswald killed JFK solo. I don't believe the Government or CIA had any say in hiring somone to assasinate JFK. All the evidence shows that Harvey is the likely killer. However, I do see why teh CIA would choose Harvey. He has a military background so he definitely knows what to do.

  • In my opinion, Lee Harvey Oswalk was the most likely to have shot and killed JFK. All the evidence basically backs up that he killed him. The evidence that supports that it was him is the rifle that was left in his room. His wife also described the gun that Lee had owned. I also think the evidence points at him because he had a military background. This tells us that he knows how to use one of those guns.

  • I think it was Lee Harvey Oswald that's what most people have believed in the past. The rifle was left in the room. The police talked to Lee's wife and she described a gun that Lee owned. She described it exactly like the one that was in the room. Lee also has a military background, so he would know how to use and shoot a rifle accurately.

    • I think it is very likely that Oswald was the assassinator. He seems to be the main person that everyone thinks is at fault. I find it strange that he has experience around a gun, possibly making it easier for him to be hired to be the assassinator. I never knew that his wife explained that she had seen the gun before. This makes it more believable that he assassinated JFK.

  • I think that there has to be something more than just Lee Harvey Oswald killing JFK for no reason. I think that someone (maybe the CIA) hired him to do so. I would believe the last story, even though I don't think it's likely. I'm pretty sure Lee Harvey Oswald never gave his motivation for killing JFK, so that's why I think there's more to the story than just deciding to kill him.

    • I agree with you. There has to be a reason behind the assassination, and not just a killing. I think its very possible that the CIA hired him to do it, but there might never be proof to show it. I find it strange that he never told his reasoning for killing him, or in this instance, his motivation. Maybe more will be uncovered about it in the future.

  • I think the third theory is the most believable as the CIA would be likely to do this and have done this several times. I believe that someone assinated JFK in anger for his affair with Marilyn Monroe. It was a huge story and many people were angered. I think maybe one of Marilyns fans were so angry with JFK they killed him, or paid to have him killed.

    • I agree with you on the third conspiracy being real. It seems to make more sense than the other two. I would assume that Marilyn Monroe's affair with JFK has something to do with it because maybe someone did it out of anger. However, I don't really think it would just be their anger that made them want to assassinate the president. I feel that there are more reasons behind it.
