The Israel-Palestine situation has been going on for many years. The situation is that Palestine is fighting to take the territory that Israel has. The Palestinian group called Hamas attacked Israel from Gaza. This situation has had a lot of history and conflicts.
Israel was recognized as a country on May 14, 1948 after Palestine was split up. Palestine was not happy with this and wanted its territory back. Palestine has attacked Israel a lot of times but not to the extent that it has been attacked recently.
Hamas is an Islamic resistance movement that fights to get land that was “taken away” from them. They have made many attacks on Israel since 2006. The most recent attacks they have made have been very violent. They have committed many acts of violence such as killing children, civilians, and the Israeli military. Just in Gaza Hamas acts have killed around 10 thousand people and almost half were children.
Hamas has been considered a terrorist group by the U.S. The U.S. has been backing up Israel for many years. The U.S. in fact was one of the first countries to recognize Israel as an independent country. The U.S. is not directly involved in this conflict but we do help Israel with weapons and money.

I'm glad you tackled this topic but it is one that is very difficult to do insuch a short paper. Thi was posted a day late and you didn't reply to any student comments.
I think that the United States isn't wrong for getting involved but should be careful. It can put our country in danger but it is helpful towards other countries since we are helping supply them with certain weapons that they need.
I personally think that the United States should continue to suppy weaponary and fund money, but should not get fully involved. I think if the United States were to get involved, then a lot of other countries would join in as well and the war would escalate even more.
I personally am in the middle since I feel bad for Israel innocents and Palestine innocents. I also feel that the US and others shouldn't be involved since it will lead to more deaths that are from different countries that aren't Israeli's and Palestinians.(not including tourists from other countries)
I do not think the US should get involved in these situations because it is just bringing drama to America such as protests which often times go bad and people get hurt or even killed. I think there should not be any other countries that get involved because that could lead to much larger problems.
I think the US should just keep helping with weaponary and money as the US wasn't origianly involved. I don't think it does much good to be mad about land that was taken from them before most of them were even born.
I don't think the U.S. should get fully involved in this but maybe a couple troops to help. I think this situation is crazy and Isreal has killed so many citizens, families, and babies!
I personally dont think the U.S. should choose to involve themselves with this because it could further make things worse then they need to be. I think the situation is bad for both sides however I think the U.S. staying out of it is going to be best.
I don't think the U.S should get involved with this because it could make the conflict much bigger and worse. I think that this situation is terrible for both sides. I hope no other countries get involved because the war is bad enough. I do think countries should send weapons though.
I don't think the U.S. should get directly involved for either side. I say we just send humantarian aide to both Palestinians and Isreali people. This is a civil war between Hamas/Palestine and Isreal. I don't think it's our business other than the fact that innocent civilians are dying.
