The United States is known as the land of the free and the home of the brave. When other countries are struggling, the U.S. government is usually pretty helpful to other countries when they need help. Helping others is great, but only when we are in a strong position ourselves. There comes a line where they begin to worry more about other countries and less about the citizens of the United States. I think that lines has been crossed, and the government has started worrying to much about other countries and not enough about this one.
For one, the Biden Administration has announced that they plan to send covid vaccines to our neighboring countries of Mexico and Canada. On Friday, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki announced that they will be sending 2.5 million doses of the Astra Zeneca vaccine to mexico, and 1.5 million doses to canada. In the United States, 182 million Americans have yet to recieve the vaccine. While there will be those that don't want it, I'm sure that there still quite a few Americans that are waiting to get the vaccine.
Another point to make would be the stimulus bills that have been coming out over the course of the pandemic. While these stimulus bills do provide money for those in need of it, I don't think thats the only place that the money is going. In the Stimulus package released back in December, there were 5,000 pages in the bill. To me this is kind of suspicious and makes me wonder what all is in there. It's been reported that a lot of those pages called for money to be sent to other countries and things completely unrelated to helping the citizens in the U.S.
Quesitons
Do you think that the government is worrying too much about other countries?
I do think that they worry to much about other countries, they can take care of themselves. we are are struggling through the same thing.
Would you take the vaccine?
I would take the vaccine if it meant getting rid of all these masks.
Do you worry about some of the contents within the bills for the stimulus packages?
I do worry about what is in the bills, 5,000 pages seems a little absurd to me for what it is. Not to mention, it's hard to beleive that Biden read it all before signing it.

Great topic choice and well written summary Zane! Great job!
Yes, I do think and feel that our country is worrying to much about other countries problems, when we should rather be focusing on our own problems. I think we should focus on ourselves because we never know what is going to happen in the future.
I feel that we are worrying about other countries' problems when in reality we should be focusing on our problems more. Right now I would not take the vaccine if I had the option because who knows how it might affect you in the coming years.
I too believe that America is working to solve other counteries' problems when our country is suffering too. I have a family member with stage 4 cancer, a hard working American citizen, and he can't get vaccinated. I know for a fact that he is not the only person who needs a vaccine and isn't getting one, meanwhile, we're sending vaccines to other counteries. That doesn't seem quite fair to me. America should be the top priority to the leader and in this case, it doesn't seem to be.
I agree, you made a good point with your family member. There are still people out there that could use the vaccine, yet haven't gotten it. Wishing the best for your family member.
I think they worry too much about other countries because we have our own problems that need fixed and we are sending money to another country for their problems. I would not take the vaccine because i do not know enough about it. I also normally do not wear my mask unless it is required to go into the store.
I agree, I also don't usually wear my mask unless its required. I think its time to stop requiring them places, and those who are concerned for their health can just wear them.
A reason for why America worries so much about other countries comes back to the U.S being one of the world's super powers. As you pointed it out there is a lot going to other countries, but I beleive this mainly done so that the U.S can keep its status. I do believe that America shoud focus more on itself because at this point the country is very divided, and there is so many programs that the need the help of the government.
I do agree with you. I think that the biden administration it focusing to much on countries that could probably help themselves like Canada. Mexico isn't something we should be sending vaccines to either. There's more illegal immigrants in our country than there are vaccines getting sent to both Mexico and Canada.
Yes, I think we need to worry about our own citizens before we worry about other countries. As of now I think I am too young to get the vaccine until their is more research. Yes, I do worry. Like how we sent money to pakistan for gender research. Like that's great an all but our country is facing economic issues, and sending moeny to other countries won't help.
