The Lion King 3-D has been making a lot of noise, coming out on top of the box office charts two weekends in a row, and becoming overall one of the biggest hits of all time again. The entire Star Wars saga (starting with Episode I in February of 2012) is being re-released in 3-D, and Titanic will be re-released in 3-D on the 100th anniversary on April 12th, 2012. And Top Gun is also hoping for a 3-D re-release in 2012, but is this just a start? What's next? Austin Powers 3-D? Indiana Jones 3-D? Or how about The Hangover 3-D? Some just click, and others don't. Personally, I think 3-D adds nothing but a price to the admission, but that doesn't mean re-releasing these films in 3-D will hold off the crowds until it's overkill (which is bound to happen). I myself plan to see Star Wars in 3-D, but with one movie a year, and six movies overall, by the time they get to Episode VI, will it be too late?

  • 3D gives me a headache... I agree with james. HD is much better.
  • I love Lion King. But...I think HD is better than 3D.
