MTSS is a waste of time in my opinion because it takes 30-45 mins out of our day, that's extra time just to review when we can just review in class. It also wastes the teachers' time, because they can just let the students do their forum posts in class. I understand why we don't do it in class now with all the presentations we need to do, but why didn't we do them in class earlier in the year?
I understand that MTSS is to get the help you need, but that's why study hall exists, and for the people that don't have study hall, you should find time to work with that teacher, if you're in any clubs, most of the teachers stay after school anyway, so why not get help? You don't need an entire period dedicated to one thing. Yes, I understand that there're people that are busy before and after school, but you need to be wise with your time and make time for schoolwork.
If we got rid of MTSS, then not only would the school day shorten, but we'd also be saving time. The teachers would have to put up with us for less time, the students would have less time in school, so we, students, would be extraordinarily happy. If the school took away MTSS, then everyone would be a lot happier to go, because it'd shorten the day by like 30-45 minutes.

If we got rid of MTSS the school day would NOT shorten. The classes would just get longer. I don't see the harm in MTSS because there are a lot of kids who don't have time after school and don't have study halls so everybody having a "free" period would help. Also MTSS only take 20 minutes not 45 minutes.
Not necessarily because instead of MTSS they could add the academic period back and that would be way better for everyone. That way the classes wouldn't take as long and they might even be a minute or two shorter thatn what they were.
I think that we should keep it becasue it helps us get are homwork done and short the classes by a little and if you have nothing to do you can just go to the gym and have fun. Somtimes mtss is necessity i feel like but other times i dont feel it is. I dont really care if it gets taken out or not it only helps somtimes and the other time it is just sitting there doing nothing so i dont really care if we have it or not.
First of all, taking MTSS out of the school day would not shorten the school day. Because the school board has decided on a particular number of hours that we must spend in school each year, the extra 45 minutes from MTSS would be put into other classes, just making math, language arts, and science longer.
I don't think you understand that some people just don't have time to do school work outside of school and many students don't have study halls and are involved in a lot more than you are involved in. For some people, MTSS is a necessity to get things done so we don't have to stay up until two in the morning getting school work done. However, I feel that MTSS should be moved to the end of the day so the people in sports don't have to miss core classes when dismissed for meets and games.
I agree 100% If I'm not working, I'm working on school assignments. If I give myself a break during the day, I feel lazy and I'm definitely experiencing burnout to some degree. Taking away MTSS would get rid of any time I have to practice my instrument or get in last-minute studying. I also agree that moving it to the end of the day would be best because people want an activity period as well.
I agree with you guys. MTSS is a great period to use as a study hall. Personally I don't have any study halls because I was counting on academic support this semester. Most of my days are pulled up with things and sometimes I need extra help with an assigned for a class so having MTSS there is a great benefit
I don't think that MTSS should be removed from the school schedule because it helps people catch up on classes they really need help on. I know from a fact that sometimes if you don't have a study hall it for sure gives you a shortened study hall.
I agree. Me and a lot of other students don't have free time in class or even outside of class, so when an MTSS session on a project or homework assignment pops up (like Mr. Bruns' MTSS for forum posts) it helps tremendously. I don't have a study hall and I have a bad habit of procrastinating so I am not upset with the idea of keeping MTSS.
i agree some people that dont have a study hall they have a lot of work and they can do some of it in that time and it is kinda nice that you have that little time to get some work done. the people that have their work done can just go to the gym and play games or just walk around. I think it helps a lot of student get some of their work done.
