Is Joe Biden Handling Covid-19 The Right Way?

Joe Biden was elected into office on November 3rd, 2020 by receiving 306 electoral votes whereas his opponent Donald Trump, only received 206 electoral votes. While Biden was campaigning for his presidency, he told the people of America lots of different things that he would bring into office upon when/if he became elected. Some of the things that Biden promised the citizens of America consisted of  were making his presidency a “healing time” for America, recovery plans for working families, supplying jobs for America, giving every American affordable healthcare, tackling climate change, and defeating the Covid-19 Pandemic. But did he really take care of the Covid-19 pandemic in the right way?

Joe Biden’s plan to stop Covid-19 consisted of ensuring that important decisions about our nation's health were put into the hands of doctors and scienets, not politicians, ensure that everybody who needs one receives a free Covid test, establish at least ten covid-19 rapid testing area per 50 states, and now, make a vaccine eligible for almost all age groups to receive… even if it’s not proven to be the most safe.

The available vaccinations consist of Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnston & Johnston with Pfizer leading being the most popularly taken one. There have been lots of reports about the terrible side effects of taking these vaccines, and the vaccine isn’t even proven to stop you from becoming ill with Covid-19, they’re only supposed to lower your chances of getting it and soften your side effects. Now, the Biden Administration wants to give the people who’ve taken the vaccine a booster shot. Already, receiving another shot for a two part vaccine sounds sketchy enough to me, but it’s making the people of America question, “does this vaccine really work?”  I don’t think that the vaccine was tested enough or cared about enough before being put out to the modern day people to take, but that’s just me. I think that it’s a great thing if this vaccine has worked for some people and saved lives, but I think that a vaccine that could be considered, “all around good”, for everybody would be more beneficial.

Do you think that more time should’ve been spent working on this vaccine?

Do you think Joe Biden is handing Covid-19 the right way?

Do you feel like the Trump Administration could handle COVID-19 better?

  • Good topic choice and well written Lukas! The issue is that you only replied to two people and replying to comments is worth 30 points.

  • I think that yes they could have taken more time working on this vaccine. No he is not handing it well, I don't think he should be throwing it down everyone's throut telling them they have to take it and not giving them the choice. I think that Trump could have handled it better because he was more for the people and let them make their own decisions.

  • I think joe bidden is not handling covid very well at all I think he is handling it poorly. I don't care if people get the vaccine but i think Biden is trying to force the vaccine a little to much because its new and people can be scared of it. I think the Trump Administration would of handled it better.

  • When you're on such a time crunch of fighting a disease that could mutant at any moment, possibly making vaccines against them void, you have to speed up your process. Spending less time on something, while maybe not optimal, it can get us out of this before we end up seeing a new variant that makes all of our vaccines pointless. I have no clue what the Trump administration would do with the vaccine, they might have waited longer or sent it out even sooner.

  • I think that Joe Biden is handling covid poorly because I think that he is taking to many percausions. I definetly think that the Trump administration would handle covid better because they are the ones that took the first action to develop the vaccine for the people that want it.

  • I think that with what time the scientists had creating the vaccine they engineered one that was able to protect the most amount of people with little to any downside risk. But, I believe that more testing should and still can be down with this vaccine because as stated they needed to get a vaccine out as fast as they could to help protect people from the worst.

  • I think the vaccine could have been looked at for a little longer and that Biden wanted it out as fast as he could because there were so many people with covid. I do not think Joe Biden is handling it correct as there as been many drops in the amount of cases but, he still wants mandates. I feel like Trump would have waited a little longer which could have made the vaccine more consistent.

  • I think that they did the right thing by trying to get the vaccine out as fast as they could for people. I do think that there are some things that he could have done differently to help with the situation. I do not know if Trump would have handled it better or not it would be hard no matter who was in charge.

  • I think that they could have spent more time developing the vaccine, they haven't come out with many new vaccines after the first major 3 and I think that's a little fishy considering there are a bunch of vaccines for the flu, we also don't know all of the side effects of the new vaccines.

  • yes to make it not have so many sides effects for people. no.maybe or maybe not
