should homework be banned?

Homework can be very stressful for students, but also spending to much time on homework can affect a student developmental need and other life skills. Some students don't even do there homework anyways because they have more stuff to do. It can alost affect a students mental health in many ways. It can cause a person to loose lack of sleep which can cause them to do worse on the test or in school. Homework is basicly just judging somone with a letter and people want that perfect A but some cant get that perfect A, but when they get that F they feel like they are doing something wrong and there parents or whoever is taking care of them gets mad and think tha taking there stuff away will help them get that grade up but it really dont.

Do you think homework should be banned?

Do you have that perfect A?

What do you think about homework?

  • Should homework be banned? I think it should because some students have jobs and aren't able to get it done on time. Due to this their grades go down.  After work, we come home and we do our chores and cook. Then you are tired and want to go to bed. It is at that time, you remember you have homework and then you are up till 11:00 PM. Students are getting 5-6 hours of sleep and come to school tired. Then they don't focus at school. So, that is why I think that homework should be banned.

  • I do not think that we should be banning homework. I understand how it can be stressful for students that are involved in many activities and/or have a part time job after school. It can be a bit much. I think that it is okay if we are given a little bit of homework because I can see how it can be a beneficial way to remember what you are learning.

  • I don't think homework needs to be banned but I do think there should be some guidelines and limitations that teachers should follow. I feel like we are pretty swamped with homework when we get a ton from all eight of our classes.

  • I don't think that homework needs to be banned completely because like other assignments, its still important and it shows responsibly. I think that maybe teachers should try to reduce it...especially if students already had too much homework from other classes. I currently have all good grades but of course that's because we barely started a new semester. And because teachers have been taking it pretty chill.

  • I don't know if homework should be completely banned, but it should definitly be cut back. I feel like for the kids that work after school or are in sports, it would be nice to have that time to relax and not have to think about school all the time.

  • I think that a little bit of homework is okay but to have hours of homework plus a job or sports can be really stressful and hard to balance. I dont think homework should be banned altogether just reduced.

  • I think homework should be banned outside of school. I think it would be okay to give it to do in class but shouldn't be given outside of class. Students in sports, or students that have jobs, are always busy and don't have much time to do it.

  • I think that homework is super beneficial and shouldn't be banned, but I also really think teachers overload us with it. Having homework helps students better understand and pracitce what they learn in class, and for some, without the distraction of being in a classroom. I think I obtain school lessons better after doing homework on it.

  • I think that homework should be banned because its unnecessary just wastes more time.Homework is very time consuming. Kids dont have time for it. homework just lowers grades and doesnt help what so ever.

  • I think that homework should be banned because why would we have to do homework at home when we are already at school all day for 8 hours and plus people have to work and have sports right after school so they have no time to relax for a bit. I think that if I did try a little harder I would have more A's then B's.
