The Black lives matter movement group started this thing called "Defund the police." Its basically people want the police to be gone or strongly slash there budgets. By defunding the police they say that there will be less crime and that we will live a non violent life. Also they belive that police should be non armed and not be able to carry any weapons that could hurt, or possibly kill someone.
In my opioion defunding the police is a terrible idea. Because who is gonna be there when your getting robbed or your kid has been kidnapped. And when people say we should cut there budget makes me sick. They are doing so much to keep us safe and to live a good life. Also by defunding the police there will be more violence, it will pretty much a purge because if you make a person mad that could be the end of your life.

I definitely think that defunding the police is a terrible idea just because they also help the world out to they do not just do bad in the world don't get me wrong there are some bad police out there but not all of them are bad. if I was the police I would not like the way I was treated.
I think that defunding the police is a bad idea. I think that throughout the past few years many have started to stereotype police officers based on a single event that took place which is unfair and not rational. Police officers undergo traumatizing experiences and dedicate their lives to protecting the lives of others. So, I do not think police officers should be defunded.
Defunding the police is a terrible idea. What is the world going to become if police are defunded. It is crazy to think cops are bad people. Cops risk their lives everyday to protect civilians, and they serve the consequences of a few amount of cops bad decison-making.
I personally don't think that defunding the police is a good idea. in some ways, I can see why some people what them to but it would just allow more people to get away with other things. I do think that the average police officer may be too militarized but in all, I think they have just what they need to keep us safe.
Defunding the police is a terrible idea. Looking at actual studies, we find the "Social workers" are very often injured trying to respond to situations that they are not capable of handling. If we entrust our safety to a bunch of psychiatrists we will have anarchy and mayhem. Social workers will get hurt, crimes will not be stopped, emergencies will not be responded to appropriately, and all respect for the law will vanish.
Yes, defunding the police is a good idea. Putting more money into social services would do more good to society than a group of people inlisted in "warrior training." If I were an officer I may not like the way I am treated, but that would be bias. If you look at the facts, defunding the police seems to become a better idea. We should prevent the need for crimes, not stop them when they happen.
I think that defunding the police is a terrible idea. The police protect the people of the US each and everyday. If there wasn't polices officers in the US the crime rate would be much higher then it is currently. If I was a police officer in the US, I would not appreciate all the negitive attacks aimed towards myself even if i'm not the one causing all the protest.
I do not think defunding the police is a good idea. We need our poilce officers to protect us. Like you said who would be there for when you are in a dangerous situation. I also think there would be more crime if we defunded them. I would not like the way i am being treated if I was a poilce officer.
I don't think that we should defund the police because we need police to keep people safe. The police should not be killing people who do nothing wrong it is wrong and cruel. If I was gonna be a police officer I would want to be treated with respect, but the police needs to show respect back to other people unless they are doing something wrong.
