Increasingly human-like robots spark fascination and fear

A humanoid robot named Erica talks to a man in front of stunned audience members in Madric. Erica is not programmed to respond to sentences. Instead Erica was trained or programmed to key words in sentences to respond to. She has human like characteristics. In order for this to pass by though it could not be too human. He believes that humaniods are best to improve the interactions between robots and humans. Many people think this could be a very bad idea, but some also think this could help out a lot. What do you think? How do you think this will affect the world, humans, and robots?

How do you feel humaniods will affect the relationship between humans and Robots?

I think it could go either way... It could end up really good and we could benefit from it or it could go wrong and we could loose a lot.

If you had to name 2 ways you think this would help or not help... What would they be?

1)I think that if this does work it may descrease the amount of work Humans will have to do.

2)I think that if this goes wrong than we could loose a lot of money on trying to make them work.

  • Overall well done! I do think your summary could be worded a bit better here and there and also be sure to capitalize key words in your title.

  • I think that it will benefit and slow us down. I could see robots taking over the world. Just because of all i've learned in engineering fields and interns. Like when a computer loses information or crahses a lot more than you can see happens. It will be a risky and very expensive process making robots that could talk fluently with us, and be semi like us. I think it could go good or bad depends on how you view it.

  • I think there could be a lot of benefits from them and also many bad things as well. Increase production of products. It could also lay many people off and cause people to lose there jobs and money.

    • I agree with you on it could go both day. It could create an increase in products for the population and that it could also cause many to lose jobs, which means money which could lead to stablility problems.

  • I feel like humaniods will affect the relationship between humans and robots because the main effect I think it will cause is uneployment. I feel like they are making more things and charecteristics like robots to build and work things to make, deliver, work with to sell. The robots and things are taking jobs that people have and if people don't have a job, they can't make money, if they don't have money, they can no longer pay for things like a house, food, anything to live. Also, the more people that don't have to work will effect them to other people to getting another job. Overall, I think it will deeply effect the world when all we will have is robots doing the work for us.

    • I see where your coming from with this I agree 110% that it could and may lead to unemployeement that could lead to many other things. It could also though create many good things for us, but we won't know until they become more popular.

  • I think this is cool and it could help with some things like maybe giving a person with issuse a better time. It could also be trained to be able to help in a class room or anything human related. I think this will change our outlook on robots. Witch will be a good thing. 1They could help at work places and maybe in a place that has a lot of tec Stuff. 2 They could help fix issues with tec so people wouldn't have such a hard time with it and take hours apon hours to figure it out.

    • I agree that it could benifit us in many many ways, but we also have to think about the things that could go wrong. Somethings that could go wrong are if these robots fail and we loose a lot of money that we invested in them.

  • I agree, people's opinions seem to vary so far on the topic. Some are interested in it and others fear that it could go wrong and turn on us. I think two ways this might help could be more jobs created from factories building these machines and another way they could go wrong is taking jobs from humans in blue-collar work

    • I agree with that it could go either ways. I understand where you are coming from when you say it could help with jobs in the factories, but could take jobs from human everyday workers.
