Impact of the Ukraine war
We all know that the war between Ukraine and Russia has already caused a lot of changes in the whole world, but what are the impacts on the United Staes compared to European countries? As you may know Russia is a big trader when it comes to gas which causes gas price changes in the whole world. While the gas at $4 a gallon is expensive in the United Staes, it is that the price most european countries could dream of.
The United States exports and imports a lot of goods with Russia. Since Russia is in a war, most of it has stopped. Billions of dollars are involved in the export and import. The problem is that the United States stops certain trades with Russia because they do not support what Russia does and stands for. An example is the stop of trading of “luxury goods” and banknotes. Russia imports goods like petroleum, coal and liquefied natural gas. Russia is number nine as a gas provider. It looks different in European countries. An example is Germany. Germany gets 38% of their gas from Russia and right now they do not anymore. That is when gas prices went up from $5 a gallon to over $10 a gallon. In general Russia is one of the EU’s major trading partners. The EU imported $108 worth of energy from Russia. A result is high prices in gas. Because of safety reasons Europe can not stop trading with Russia.
I think it is dumb that a war between two countries has such a big impact on the whole world. That shows that countries should never be too dependent on one country. It is good that countries try to stop trading with Russia as much as it is possible because you do not want to bring your own country trouble. When Russia has nowhere to export then they are soon not going to have enough money to continue the war.

Do you think countries should stop trading with Russia?
Do you see the impact of the war?
What are some other impacts?

Good topic and well done overall Tatjana! The topic isn't completely new but the focus on the differences on the impact of Europe and the US is(+3). I would like to have seen you reply a few more times.
I think it would be very impactful for countries to stop trading with Russia. If they all stopped trading, then they wouldn't have all of the imports they need, which in the end also helps Ukraine in a way. I think it's smart for countries to stop trading and rely on their own goods for now.
In my opinion trading with russia would be a good idea so that stop getting the necessary many in order to capture Ukraine but Russia has lot of sources and most importantly oil and no matter what happens Europe does not want to lose their number one oil source.
I think that everyone should stop trading with Russia. Alot of countries have and we are seeing the impact. The gas prices right now are just crazy and its been rapidly increased because of russias aggresion. Its crazy how intermixed everything is.
I think countries should stop trading with Russia because Russia is kinda a bully to Ukraine and Russia is the reason why we have such bad gas prices. If Russia did not invade Ukraine there would not be all this conflict that no one wants. So since there is all of this conflict, I think countries need to stop trading with Russia.
I think that it is necessary to stop trading with Russia so that they have a harder time without many imports from other countries. This should hopefully help Ukraine in their war against Russia. I think that it is important that countries try and remain self-reliant so that these types of situations don't have as severe as an effect.
The impact in the EU will continue to grow. This is the largest major conflict (save for the Yugoslav wars of the 90s) that we have seen since WW2 on the European continent. What the Russo-Ukranian war has that the Yugoslav war does not is its potential to start something far graver in the grand scheme of things. I pray that this is not a premontition to WW3, and hopefully it doesn't happen.
I think that as long as the NATO is not involved, the 3rd ww should not break out.
I think that other countries should stop sharing with Russia since that will have a big effect on them. I do see the impact of the war. Some examples are the prices of gas have gone up a lot. But they are slowly coming back down.
I think countries should stop trading with Russia. I think this might help affect Russia, so at some point they will stop the war with Ukraine. I think this can have some impacts on the gas price since Russia is a country that exports a lot of gas to different countries. I also think that people can get gas from different countries and not only from Russia.
