    In 1980, a first class postage stamp cost 15 cents. Today, they cost 44 cents......Christina Aguilera was born on December 18, 1980. Chelsea Clinton, Bill Clinton's daughter, was also born in 1980. The rubik's cube was a very popular item during this time frame!

    Mt. St. Helens. Erupted On May 18th 1980, at 8:32 AM. Which was the most deadliest in US history.

    -57 people were killed

    -250 homes, 47 bridges, 15 miles of railways, 185 miles of highway were destroyed

    -A massive debris avalanche triggered by an earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale, caused an eruption, deacrassing the height of the mountain's summit from 9,677 ft to 8,365 ft and replacing it with a 1 mile wide horseshoe-shaped crater.

    This Eruption cost the US over $3 Billion
