Hurricane Irene

National Hurricane Center issued a warning for the banks of NC, that hurricane Irene could hit them by saturday. Irene is a catagory 3 hurricane. They are saying when it hits it will have 115mph winds and will be dumping rain from Virginia to New York til it will weakend and will eventually end by Monday morning, around the coast of Maine.

  • Hopefully the flooding will go down soon and hopefully the flood waters don't ruin most of the roadways around there.
  • Well the hurricane was in Vermont just last night or a few hours ago. It is now only 353 miles away from New York.
  • I think today were getting rain from Hurricane Irene so thanks Irene. Also I would like to see some one fly a kite in that high of winds.
  • I hope that is is dying down dramatically because New York is a very big tourist city and they are still trying to clean up from 9/11 so i really hope that they don't get hit to hard. As for North Carolina, i feel really bad and just hope that they get it cleaned up fast so people don't have to leave their homeotown completely!

  • At the start of the Hurricane Season i was watching the Weather Channel and it said New York was the number 1city overdue for a hurricane and i thought the person who said was crazy but i guess i was wrong.
