Hurricane Epsilon Grows and heads to Bermuda.

Hurricane Epsilon is in the Atlantic ocean and according to the National Hurricane Center it has had wind speeds of up to 40 mph. It is currently 735 miles south of Bermuda island. As of right now it is stationary with little movement but is expected to start moving Monday evening. The center's forecasters think that the storm will slowly move northwestward on Tuesday and continue that motion throughout the week. This is the 26th storm of the 2020 hurricane season. This season has almost beaten the record of 28 storms in a year in 2005. At this rate this season should exceed that number.

I think that Epsilon will probably calm down and not cause too much destruction. I have not personally heard of too many hurricanes this year so I believe that most of the hurricanes that have occured in this season are probably not very destructive hurricanes compared to others in the past. I do hope that it does not cause any destruction to the island of Bermuda and any people or animals on that island.

UPDATE: Tropical Storm Epsilon forms in Atlantic

Do you think that this season will break the record for most Hurricanes in a season?

Do you think that Hurricane Epsilon will grow and cause a lot of destruction?

  • This is more of a story summary and not a hot take. A hot take would be more like "Global warming is causing more severe hurricanes" and then explain your position with data proving your point. Be sure to reply back more frequently as well.

  • I think that this season could break the record for most hurricanes in a season. You are right about use not hearing about a lot of hurricanes this year though. Maybe there have just been a lot of smaller hurricanes. I hope that hurricane Epsilon will not make land fall and just die out in the ocean.

  • I think it probably will break the record becuase its very close to beating the record in 2005. I dont think it will grow I think it will kinda die off becuase there has not been any significant storms at all this year. So I think everybody will be ok. If the wind speeds are that low the storm will most likey go away.

  • I dont know what to expec for the 2020 huricane season they have been getting more violent and frequent over the years and with everything that has already happened in 2020 it could be record breaking. I think that the huricane will be smaller and not cause much damage

  • this year with covid I haven't heard much about hurricanes but I do know that because of climate change that more are happening and they are more powerful. i hope that it doesn't cause more damage but you never know.

  • I think there is a chace that the record is broken for the amount of hurricanes in a season becuase we still have a couple of months left in the year and this year has 26 and in 2005 had 28. So I think there is a strong chance, it could happen. In my opionon, I think the storm will get smaller and not cause as much damage as predicted.

  • I also have not heard a lot about big hurricanes this year and that most of them haven't come close enough to do a lot of damage or were not close to the main lands. I don't know what will happen with this hurricane because they can change a lot in short amounts of time.

  • I agree with you, I haven't heard about very many big hurricanes this year. There could've been a lot but they've probably been smaller than most of the others. I think that the hurricane might get smaller and might not do very much damage. You said it was 735 miles aways from shore and I think it might get smaller over that time.

  • I think that this season will definitly pass the 2005 hurricane season. We've already had 26 hurricanes and this is the 27th so I think we will pass it my a few huuricanes. I'm not quite sure if hurricane Epsilon will get bigger or not, but if it happens to get bigger I hope it doesn't cause much destruction like we've seen in the past years.

  • I think that it will grow and cause a lot of destruction and I hope that it dose not because that would be bad to lose every thing you worked for in a hurricane because sometimes they are so bad that they destory your house all the way to the ground
