Reports of Hurricane Dorian has been across the Birtish and US Virgin Islands. Dorian included rain and winds up to 85 mph. National Hurricane Center says, "Hurricane Dorian is now forecast to be a Category 4 strom with sustained winds of around 130 mph when it makes its expected landfall in the US on Monday, likely somewhere along Florida's Atlantic coast." If I was working for the National Hurricane Center, I would for sure let everyone know what the hurricane will bring and prepare for the worst. Florida is supposed to be hit along their coast around Monday morning with warm water strengthening the storm on the way. Hurricane Dorion is bringing lots and lots of rain so people from Florida are filling gas station and grocery stores to prepare. The Governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis, has let people know to prepare for days and days of food and medicine. Mayor Keith James of West Palm Beach says, "The more we hear about this storm, it sounds like a serious one."
As the Governor of Florida, what advice would you have for your people?
As te Governor I would tell everyone to prepare for the worst and be ready for the end result.
If your home was about to get destroyed by Hurricane Dorion, would you stay in the state of Florida or go somewhere else? Explain.
I would leave Florida and go to the closest place where I have family so I would be able to get food and water without any questions and be safe without having to worry about getting hit by the hurricane in different parts of Florida.

Well done Tianna.
Hurricanes are not a force to be messed with. Have your houe bored up, and ready for any kind of damge from wind and debris. Then if possible try to get as far away from the hurricane.
as the govaner i would tell them to leave the area as soon as they can and i would put there safty before mine
i would leave for my familes safty i would gather all of my importent things and keeps sakes and get out of there as soon as i could
I agree, as Governor of Flordia, your job is to protect your citizens and help the people who live in your state. When something bad is about to happen to your state, you need to let everyone know and make sure everyone has a heads up of what is coming towards them.
If I was the governor, I would be encouraging in the path of the hurricane to evacuate, because it's not worth risking your life by staying. I would try to find somewhere to stay farther inland if my house was going to be hit.
I would definitly make most people evacute as the Governor of Flordia because it is just not worth risking your life when you have been given a heads up in advance. I would probably end up leaving the whole state of Flordia.
As the Governor of Florida I would tell the citizens of Florida to be prepared for Dorian, to do this they can stock up on food, water, bateries, and board up windows and doors. I would also make sure that people in areas where the huricane may make landfall would evacuate to avoid death or ingury to them and their families.
I agree, if the news officials said it was heading right towards you, I would for sure evacte with no questions asked, but even if it wasn't "supposed" to come towards my town, I would still want to get out of Flordia as soon as possible in case of accidents or misunderstanding of Dorion.
If I was the governer of Florida I would also tell the people to prepare for the worst. And to ration all food supplies as much as possible to survive this rough time. Although if I lived in Florida during this time, I would pack up everything that is very valuable and important. Then I would evacuate the state as soon as possible.
I would definitly want to make sure everyone is able to have food supplies and get the supplies they need when they move somewhere safe. I would take all my most important belongings for sure, I agree with that. I would end up leaving a lot of supplies back because I would need room for all the food we are packing up on.
