The girl who played Rue in the hunger games is receiving all kinds of racist tweets. To me this is insane! What kind of world is this to judge by skin color? Because she is black people are complaining about the movie how it could have been better if she was white. Ignorant people. please feel free to share your thoughts.
Here are some tweets:
"Why did the producer make all the good characters black?"
"Why is Rue a little black girl? Stick to the book, dude,"
Another tweeter even uttered the "N" word in decrying adorable African-American actress Amandla Stenberg's race

People need to calm down its really not that big of deal. I mean seriously not everything is about the color of your skin so people need to get over their racist views and move on its just a Movie.
I think she looks prefect for the role. It's so mean what those people are saying. It's pretty much how I imagined her to look when I was reading it. So this is beyond crazy.
that is so mean. obviously she got the part so she must have played it well! i feel bad for her but i bet the people putting her down dont make as much as her.
I absolutely hate racism. I can't stand people that think one race is superior to another. i dont see how it could have made the movie any better .
That is horrible! There is not a reason in the world why the director couldn't pick a black actress or actor. It is just terrible all of the racist things.
some people are just idiotic, people need to learn to stop hating on others and mind their own business
This is plain stupid anytime now a days if a black person is involved in any movie and is injured somehow all of a sudden it becomes racists i mean come on. Two black people died in the movie and 20 white people died in the movie so obviously it is not racist towards black people but more racist towards white people in my mind. I think people just need to lay off and shut up.
I can't believe the way people act nowadays! Whether she is black or white she was a good enough actress to get the part. Kudos to her! Let people be her critic!
i dont think it matters if she is white or black. Skin color shouldnt matter. she is a good actor so they should just leave it alone! i havent read the book but i heard people talking about how it didnt say what Rue's skin color was in the book.
