How much power should the president posess? In the constitution it explicitly says that the president of the United States should have: the power to sign or veto legislation, command the armed forces, ask for the written opinion of their Cabinet, convene or adjourn Congress, grant reprieves and pardons, and receive ambassadors. But recently I've noticed that there has been a large power imbalance between past presidents and current administrations. Like how Biden had made 35 exective orders/presidential memos in the first 12 days. Double that of Obama and Trump in their first 2 weeks. So do you think that presidents should hold this much power? I personally think that the president should have most of their power capped off, to avoid tyrany.

James,
This was due last week so there will be a big point deduction. I like your topic but your summary is too brief to do it justice. You also didn't reply to any student comments which is worth 30 points.
I think the system we have right now is fine. All of the presidents have had equal abilities and that is why I like it. We elect our presidents and therefore we trust them to make these decisions. I think if we changed the system it would create a bigger problem.
I think that throughout recent history it is proven that the system we have right now is fine. I think that it provides a even presidency power and truly makes everything balanced. I think if we change anything it may not end up working well and could go very wrong.
I think that our system we have right now, and that we have had for a while does a good job of keeping the presidency power even. I also believe that there are plenty of checks and balances to keep the powers of presidents very well balanced and fair.
I think that the system we use today is pretty good at keeping the president's power in check. I think that we have enough checks and balances to keep the president from becoming too powerful. It keeps legislation fair and honest.
I think our current system is okay. The checks and balances systems makes each branch of the government make sure the other branches are in line. I don't think the president has too much power because all of the branches of the government check the others.
I feel like a president in the United States should not have too much power. If they have too much power they will most likely start feeling better than everyone else and they could start wanting more and more power. I think the power of a president should be limited.
I think that presidential limitations are very necessary so that the president is not allowed to control everyday citizens completely. I do not think that Biden should be pushing as many things as he is, but I also don't think that Trump or any other president should either.
I think the presidents power should be tooken down a notch, just beacuse of how much power they hold within them. Currently I beleive that Biden has way to much control on us Unitated State Americans. I think throught the years they should take some powers away.
I think that presidents should have their power limmited to some extent. For example Biden should have limitations put on hime becuase he is mentally ill. President Biden should be put into a nursing home. I think that presidents like trump however should have more power.
