  • well when we went to oklahoma the water from the mississippi was going down but all you could see was the stalks from the corn and nothing from the beans, it was not good. but it was interesting to see how far it went up and back down.
    • a lot of the farmers will not be able to farm their ground for 2-5 years if it was under water because the ground will be so saturated
  • My family has not been affected by the flood either. Even if peoples houses didn't get flooded their houses are filled with snakes along with house that were flooded. The water is slowly going back to the river banks but it will take about two months for that.
  • My life hasn't really been affected.

I've seen some of the flooded area and it just amazes me how that much water could overflow the river banks! And hearing all the stuff on the news I feel so sorry for everyone affected.

  • My family has not been affected by the flood either. My dad told me the story of a family who built a dike around their home but still had to evacuate. When the family went back to see if their home remained dry, they found their home not flooded, but invaded by hundreds of snakes.

    • I would not like to be that family because I don't like snakes
  • Thanks for posting!!

Luckily, the flood did not effect me or anyone in my family. I drove by some of the flooded areas and could not believe it.

It reminds me why I wilk never buy a house in a flood plain. One of my life's rules.
