Russia isn’t telling the rest of the world just how many covid related deaths they’ve really had. Russia has been struggling to get this pandemic under control. They say that as of November 16 more than 33,000 people have died from covid, but photos and videos say otherwise. CNN has received various videos and photos showing overcrowded hospitals and morgues; bodies stripped naked and piled on top of each other as if it was a war zone rather than a hospital. A former government statistician says the real number of covid deaths is actually closer to 130,000 rather than 33,000.
Rosstat is the Russian statistics agency and they use a 4 tier classification system to determine if a death was covid related or not. According to Rosstat’s website the classifications are as follows: 1. the patient testing positive for Covid-19 before death; 2.when Covid-19 is presumed to be the main cause of death but would need to be confirmed by autopsy or further research; 3. when the virus contributed to death in those with underlying conditions; 4. when Covid-19 is confirmed but not deemed a major factor in the death. The reason the number of deaths is low is because the victim had to test positive for covid before they died to be considered a Covid death.

I think that Russia is making it not seem bad but it accully is really bad. They cant get it undercontrol so its just getting worse. I think there hiding a lot more than what they really know. They dont want others to know the truth because its really bad.
I think that Russia is covering some of their deaths just to make it seem not as bad as it is. Personally I would liketo be told the truth about how many deaths are occuring in my country. I think that the rosstat system is a good system because it would prove the cause of death if they happend to not know then they could really confirm it.

I doubt that Russia is actually telling the truth about their Covid deaths and I think is because they want to be seen as "the strongest country around". I think they use the rossatat system because it can classify corona deaths much more easily and not just saying they had symptoms of covid they died of it.
Yes becuase russia is one of the biggest countrys in the world and there out rages with the numbers of the covid cases there. If they were lying we would probalbly belive them that people are dying of covid or nothing elcle or saying that they died of covid.
