For nearly 39 years, Brian McConnell has worked at Delta airline and has been loading aircraft baggage, guided planes, and conducting people around the airport too. However, Brian has a very special task at work that he has to do every day, and it is something that makes his job a very specail one. Brian runs the Delta Honor Guard, it's a group of volunteers with Delta Airlines that greets every plane that carries the ramins of a fallen military member. The group is made of about 20 people at his airport, sometimes all 20 are there, other times its about 2 or 3. Whatever the number, they are doing their best to give respect to the military member. The procudure to honor is to drape a U.S. flag over the casket while it is in the airplane, and as the casket is lowered from the plane, the Delta Honor Guard members are holding flags from each branch of service, then it is placed in a small tansport vehicle. Everyone shakes eachothers hands and the body is taken away. I think this is so cool that Delta does this. I did not know that they had the Delta Honor Guard, it is very respectful and I think during this time in the world right now, people need to see more respect around.
Did you know Delta Airlines had an honor guard?
Have you heard of a honor guard before? Do you think all airlines should have one?

Good job Vanessa but push for three paragraphs next time.
I did not know about Delta Airlines' honor guard before. I really think that it's cool that they do this, and other airlines should pick it up. Without it, it would feel almost as if the fallen military personell were just like luggage on a plane, but this shows that they are really respected.
I wasn't aware that Delta had an honor guard. I think it is very important that they are doing this. It shows lots of respect towards the people who served for our country and i'm sure the people in the military appreciate this as well.
I was not aware that Delta had an honor guard either, and I agree I think it is very important and respectful that they are doing this. I think all airlines should take part in it because it is respectful and I think the falled soilders derseve respect.
I did not know that Delta airlines did this and I think this is very cool and respectful. Ive never even heard of the delta airlines honor gaurd and I think this is very cool and respective for the fallen solider. I think they should keep doing this becuase its very respectful.
I think this is one of the coolest things I have heard airlines doing I think all airlines should do this these men and women have fought and died for this country the least we could do is show them a little respect after their flight home.
I did not know that Delta Honor Guard was a thing and I think it is really cool that they pay their respects by doing this. I have heard of honor guards before but nothing like what Delta is doing. I think it would be cool if more airlines started doing these.
No I didn't know that. That is a very interesting fact to learn about Delta Airlines. Who knew that they would have an Honor guard but what they are doing for the military soldiers that have fallen is just amazing because the fallen soldiers should be honered like that.
I did not know that delta had an honor guard and I think it is really cool that they have one. I also think it's nice that they have one so that they can honor the fallen soldiers that have fought and died for everyone. I have never heard of the honor guard before. I think some airlines should have maybe not all depending on where the bodies need to go.
