What i don't understand is, why do we always have homework? We come to school for 7 and a 1/2 hours a day, 5 days a week, and yet the teachers still expect us to do homework after school and on the weekends. Not cool. Some reasons why we shouldn't have homework: creates stress, you don't have a teacher to help you, many people have jobs and don't have time to do it, less family time, most of the time you have to stay up late and do it, ect. Yes, i understand that it's good practice n what not. But i am against having homework. Who's with me?!

I'm with you on this one. There were days when I'd go from school to jazz band to play practice and not get home until ten and then have to do homework. It was a really bad day, needless to say. But, it's not like the teachers know that you're going to be busy and they can't plan around every single person.
Even having one homework assignment a week from every class wouldn't be as bad. Some teachers give home work every night and expect us to get it done even if we don't understand it. If we don't understand it they tell us to come in before or after school. I have tried to go in to one of my teacher's classrooms after school because I didn't understand what the homework was for the next day, but they had already left.
There are certain nights that homework is unreasonable...Wednesday, because it is usually church night for most, and Friday, because it is the weekend. But teachers don't always give homework, it is an assignment, that turns into homework because a student didn't get it done it class. Less homework would be nice, but whatever I guess. It's the teachers who decide. But maybe they can give the students a little more input.
Im totally agaist it too... and by staying up very late to get homework done, most people are VERY tired the next day at school. Teachers really shouldnt complain about kids not paying attention and beingtired all the time, because they keep us up all night doing homework.
I would have to agree i do not like homework but it does help us perfect on what we are learning. I have a study hall so i never really ever have to take homework home. So i am not toally agianst it. As long as we dont have a tons of it.

Well i agree with shena we shouldnt have homework. I think its dumb that we have it its pointless.
I agree with you. Its to much to ask for. Thats why alot of people come to school so tired and some still don't know what to do.
