One of the many decisions that have to be made as a parent is whether you want your child to go to public school or be homeschooled. There are many pros and cons to both choices but it just depends on what you think would be best for your child.
To begin with, the teachers at public schools are required to have more qualifications to be a public school teacher. While if your homeschooled parents might not have all the qualifications or resources that a public school teacher has. Another pro for public schools is that they have more activities for students to be involved in. While, even if you're homeschooled you can still be involved in school activities at the local public school.
Next, homeschooled children can learn at their own pace. While if they are at public school you don't get to choose the pace you learn at. An additional advantage of being homeschooled is that the schedule is more flexible. Where as if you are at public school you have a set schedule for everything. However, a con for homeschooling is that the materials needed can be kind of expensive.
Finally, I think there are pros and cons to both public school and homeschooling. I think homeschooling would be nice because you could learn at your own pace and have a flexible schedule. But, personally I believe that public school is nicer because you get to interact with people everyday and there are more chances to be involved in school activities.
What are your thoughts on homeschooling VS public school?
Would you rather be homeschooled or go to public school?

Great topic choice and well written summary Claire! You should have commented quite a few more times and also replied back on three different days.
I think that I would like homeschooling because then I don't have to be in big classes and I can have that one on one and learn at my own pace. Where at public schools I feel trapped and uncomfertable. So I think that if given the choice I would rather be homeschooled.
I think that depending on the age of the person you are, you may like one type of school over the other. I would rather be homeschooled because like you had mentioned you can learn more at your pace and you can choose what to learn based on what you are interested in.
I think that public school is a way better option for schooling because it gives kids more oportunities to be involved with sports and activities. I would definetly rather be in public school than home school because their is so much more oportunities and I think homeschool would be boring.
I think that public school is just overall a better option for children and is easier for the parent and kid. If a parent is teaching their kids plus having to put in an 8-hour minimum work day then they are pretty busy aside from doing other household things like keeping the house in general in shape.
In my opinion, a public school is better than homeschooling because you feel responsible and communicate with your peers and get more information. I prefer the public schools.
I think that homeschooling has to be decided at a very young age, also if the parent that is teaching them is smart it could change their opinion on sending their kid to school. But, I think I would rather be in public school like now because I would have more of an oppurtunity to make friends and socialize.
I think that public schools are superior to homeschooling methods. I believe this because public school helps you learn social skills and friends while homeschooling is usually only with your parents and pretty weird. I also think homeschooled kids are often lacking in some aspects of education because of the lack of competition.
I think that there are many good things to both types of schooling but I would say that public schooling is better. Because you learn how to interact with other kids your age and even older kids. It teaches you different skills that you can't get at home. Finally I think that the education you are getting taught is a lot tuffer but its better than the ciriculum that is taught at home.
I think public school is better for kids of all ages I think it helps with social skills and kids being able to communicate with other kids. Kids that are home school do not get to talk to other kids during the school day and interact with more people them just maybe there siblings.
